This week the boys welcome Mr. Rob Walch, the VP of Podcaster Relations for Libsyn (the podcast hosting service we use)! The show kicks off with Rob describing a bit about his job at Libsyn and how he gets to talk with and help out all sorts of different podcasters from James Arnold Taylor (the voice of Obi-Wan on the Clone Wars) to Joe Rogan. The panel goes on to talk about some of the more unusual podcasts Rob's been associated with, how he came into the podcast industry, how the Apple Podcasts app in iOS8 shaped the podcast culture we have today, and the concept of a podcast bubble. The dorks also discuss some non-podcast related topics such as their kids getting into Twitch streaming, accidentally exposing their kids to R-rated movies, the Star Wars franchise, and the upcoming Dune film set to release either just in theaters or day and date on HBOMax. Finally, the podcast finds its way into the Throw-Down. This week they pit a classic oddball comic book character in The Tick against another true oddball in Freakazoid.
