Episode 298: Another Rough Midweek Sweep

Jake steps in to host this week’s midweek Pesky Report and is joined by Brad and Doink. The crew goes through the lowlights of a very rough Red Sox series sweep at the hands of the vaunted Astros at Fenway Park. What the heck happened in the game on Monday, aka the Kyle Barraclough Game? The crew dissects the bullpen decisions and laments the factors that led to such a tired pitching staff. They also speculate on what Chaim Bloom and Alex Verdugo were talking about after the game Wednesday. On the bright side, Adam Duvall has been destroying the baseball and Ceddanne Rafaela looked strong in his first couple games in Boston. The crew then starts looking ahead a little bit to 2024, talking about where the Red Sox outfield mix could stand next year, pitchers they could acquire, and the dire need for the team to improve defensively.
