Show Notes Episode 299: “Good Love Is Hard to Find” This week Host Dave Bledsoe is a little lonely, so he decided to try his luck finding someone who will love him as much as he loves whiskey, only to find that whiskey was there for him all along. (Awww, sweet!) On the show week we head back to 1978 looking for love only to find the Dating Game Killer, Rodney Alcala! (All the good ones are either taken or are in the middle of a cross country murder spree!) Along the way we learn some unlikely “facts” about Chuck Barris, the creator of the Dating Game and maybe CIA assassin? (He wasn’t) Then we dive right into the very strange details of Rodney Alcala and his appearance on a television dating show. (It was strange because they never bothered to check if he was a convicted criminal, which he was!) From there we follow Rodney a decade of some of the sickest crimes of the 1970’s and that is SAYING A LOT!
