Episode 3 - A Great Defense

In the early 1800’s Napoleon’s army appeared with eighteen thousand men before an Austrian town, which had no defense. The town council had nearly decided to surrender when the church leadership reminded them that it was Easter, and they should worship Christ and leave the matter to God. Trusting God, they began to ring the church bells. Upon hearing the bells, the French supposed that an army was headed their way and they quickly retreated. The key for victory was trusting in the Lord. This is true for our lives today. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart” is God’s call to us in Proverbs. If you are struggling with an overwhelming situation, turn to the Lord for help in time of need.
