Episode 3. Dean Turner

from More Than Milk · host Chloe Brown

Dean Turner didn't come from a farming background, but this hasn't stopped him from having a successful dairy farming career spanning 25 years and he isn't done yet! He started out as a farm hand milking only a couple of times per week for the Campbell family, in West Gippsland and has progressed, as their business, changed, evolved and grew. He moved from a management position, into share farming, and an equity partnership before deciding to downsize onto his current farm with a lease arrangement. Throughout that time he has experienced many highs and lows and a lot of changes, but his love of family and working with incredible people that have become family shines through. He is incredibly open and honest about the challenges he has faced, the moments of 'what have I got myself into' but is also very clear that whilst it hasn't been straightforward, when you put it all out on paper - the whole journey has been incredibly successful and worthwhile. This is Dean's story.
