I'm Caroline. I'm Caroline. I'm the other one I'm Courtney.

I'm two of them. I'm two of them. Just two ladies. And I'm just a kid.

I'm just a kid. Yeah. Hey, how's your week for everybody? Tweet us.

Just kidding. That's for later. No, you could tweet us if you wanted to. We do have a Twitter and this is a serious business.

We have a Twitter and it's the at JTLPodcast. We have an email too and it's JTLPodcast.com. And we would really love to hear anything you wanted to tell us. Anything under the sun.

A story? A question? A hypothetical? What else?

Yes. Yes. Those things. If you have a song you like or a video game or something you want to tell us about it, we love hearing about that.

How about this? Record yourself singing a song like we just did and send it to us and you might get featured on the next podcast. Oh my god. Yeah, we can, what's the word?

Promote you. Yeah, we'll fucking shout you out on the podcast. It'll be great. So send us you singing any song.

Send us you. It's been a really cute day for Caroline. I hate talking through first. I'm sorry.

I've just had like a really sweet day. So we wanted to sing a sweet song. It was really nice. We've been just sitting on the couch in my living room just like singing Matt for the past 45 minutes.

What else was my time? We sing a lot of stuff. We were singing, what was it? What song is that?

Where's just the yaws? Oh, not a gucci. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we do that a lot. We're also singing catch a falling star and put it in your pocket.

From Princess Diaries. What's the number for that? Well, yeah, but I only think of the Princess Diaries every time. Yes, say that for any day boys.

Yeah. Okay. That's our first piece of advice this week. Catch a falling star.

Put it in your pocket. Save it for any day. Good plan. Save it for day boys on fire.

But we're like, yeah, it's rough. Yeah, so hopefully you're rained. It smells like rain outside right now, so maybe it'll rain really nice tonight. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for.

I'm really glad that it wasn't smokey, like enough to obstruct the eclipse. Thank God. That happened. Yeah.

By the way, we had our first listener response. That segment was tight and I didn't even realize that's what it was. Oh my God. Oh, Todd.

Thank you. Yes. So we got Doctor Anne Parker coming at us. She sent me a photo she took of the eclipse, which if you remember back to episode one, in our head, you know, I don't do that.

Maybe we remind you of it. Yeah. So hey, don't take a picture of a heavenly event with your phone because it will look so small and bad and grainy and it will never capture the brilliance of what's going on in the sky. Yeah.

And so Caroline sent me a screenshot of this and it's the exact thing I was talking about and maybe we can get permission from Doctor Anne Parker to tweet this on our Twitter because that would be hilarious. Doctor Anne, let us know. So you can all see exactly what we were talking about. Just say now, Anne Parker, Doctor Anne Parker is this super swell kid I'm at in a class semester.

I think she's the coolest. And she's studying to be a doctor, last I heard. So she's already a doctor in my heart. So Doctor Anne Parker sent me a photo of the moon through her eclipse glasses because at first I'm looking at this picture and it's got like this, this like hazy thing.

I'm like, what is this filter? And I forgot that everybody put their glasses on their phones. Yeah. And I'm squinting to see the moon right now.

And I think it's covered at like the tippy top of it. Just barely. What do you think? Yeah, that's what it looks like.

Yeah. And she said, I got called the fuck out, but to be fair, it's like a once in a lifetime or once or twice in a lifetime occurrence. And I got real hyped about space stuff. So you know, I sent it.

And she did send it like the tippy top of a mountain. She took that photo of the eclipse. And I think I wrote something back like, oh my god, you can show your grandkids a photo of a tiny moon. And she goes, true, I can show my grandkids my iPhone photo trademark of the eclipse of 2017.

And they'll be like, wow, oh, and Wilson style. And it'll be a nice moment. So what do you think about that? Do you still hate it?

Are you like, oh, oh, no, no, you have every way to do it. It just like, I'm not going to say you're a bad person. No, no, it's just like, experiences aren't necessarily enriched by your participation. In them.

That was too much. You just stopped my heart and it's cracks. Will you elaborate on that? Just like, like, because you took the photo, I guess, like, I understand like, I took this, like, I experienced this and I saw it.

But I, I'm just trying to like figure out the value of like, if you're going to show that photo to your grandkids and be like, I took this. Or if you like, Google a picture of the 2017 solar eclipse and like a beautiful professional photo of the eclipse. And you're like, I saw that with my own eyes. Like, yeah, what's the value of, you know, I don't know, anyways, that's too much.

No, I think that's dope. I used to like the value that used to be higher because every photo people took that to get developed and then they had a hard copy no matter what, if they wanted to look at it. So you could pass that down through generations and the kid is like, oh my god, my great grandmother saw this eclipse and look at this photo in my hands. She wrote in pencil on the back.

Exactly. Geraldine, 1923 Eclipse. Yeah. Or something.

Maybe Geraldine went blind. I don't know. Yeah. But she's looking at the sun for two more.

Two close to the ground. Yeah. I don't know. No, it's great.

And I'm glad like, if that's, if that's what enriches your experience of that thing, that's, that's great. People spam it in social media and just like, yeah, that's the kind of thing that gets me and just like, look, look at, like, this is what I'm seeing. It's like, yeah, we all live in the same city. We're all seeing the same stuff.

No, it's great. Dr. Ann Parker, I think your photo is great. And I hope you show it to your kids, grandkids, and have a really nice chat about it.

Someday. Good. Oh, and Wilson style. Wow.

Wow. You're the best at that. Oh, thank you. Cardi, you're about to say.

Wow. I spent a lot of time practicing. I believe that. Yeah.

So thanks for sending that in. Yeah. You made us happy. Yeah.

So thank you. Everybody who has like reached out to us and told us personally or whatever, like that you have listened and that you've enjoyed it and it makes us so happy that this thing that we do for fun is bringing other people to us. We're really glad. So we're just supporting a couple of ladies doing what they can just for just for fun.

Yeah. And that's really sweet. Just for kicks. We're having a great time and we want to have you guys have great time too with us.

So super happy about that. Yeah. Tweet us, email us. We love you.

We have a new segment that we invented in our class. Yeah. So here's a week we spend many hours in the morning in our building at our college and I feel like we've met a lot of the same person. Like different copies of the same.

The one person. The one. And it's a girl person generally. Yeah.

And they have some distinctive features. And so we've started keeping a log of these features that we run into in the art building on campus and around campus. Yeah. The segment is called Logon.

L-O-G-G-I-N apostrophe. That's what that is right. Yeah. It's not okay.

Yeah. apostrophe. And we've encountered a number of top knots. Yup.

The number of art bangs. Yes. And the number of infinity tattoos or similar tattoos. Yes.

That we see. Yeah. And we've encountered a number. Yeah.

So I'm going to, we've been making tallies. I have a little tally chart in my little book I take with me places. And so for top-nose, the grand total is five. Yeah.

Five. Art bangs. This is staggering. You ready?

Eight. Eight. Eight. Art bangs.

And I would have to agree. Infinity tattoo. Even more nine infinity tattoos we saw this week. Yeah.

And here's the thing. It's called Exit Before Listness and I think I might be one of my favorites. Alana and Abby are doing the coach check front event. And they're playing with other people's coats.

It's not a very expensive banquet, gala, whatever. And Abby puts on with the coats. Oooh, I have fake boobs. And a lot of it goes.

Oh yeah. And they're making fun of it. She goes, but you know, whatever. Like if you wanna do that, that's your choice.

Yeah. That's your choice. And Abby's like, yeah, yeah. It's your life.

Do it you want. That's exactly how I feel about that. Yeah, of course. And like, by no means are we trying to, I don't know, we are making fun a little bit.

Do it, do it, do your body, do your life, have fun, do what makes you feel happy and good. But know that you are like fitting into a box? Such a stereotype. Yes.

Of a kid that's like, I love Radiohead, especially Creep. Yeah. Wants an episode. I love Radiohead and I love probably Stanley Kubrick and I love like a good walk on the beach.

Yeah. Like that is that person probably. Yeah. It's like, I feel like maybe some of these things are like, you know, Wes Anderson films are like, yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. I love the story. Exactly.

I do love the story too. I'm guilty. No. I think we should also describe like people, no top, not people, no infinity tattoos.

I think we got to describe art bangs. You should do it. Okay. Man.

So if you're a little confused as to what we mean by art bangs, I want you to go into Google images and type in your search bar, Spock, from Star Trek. And that's what they look like. And what I mean by that is that somebody who gets bangs that are too short to be bangs. They cross straight across, but like they turn your head into a trapezoid.

They're too short. Like they're so close to the edge of your hairline that like you're almost like, does that person really have bangs or are they just like, happy to see me? Yeah. Are those bangs on your head or you just have to see me?

No. Yeah. It's just like you can't tell if like that's just what their hairline looks like or like they're just barely too short. Those are art student bangs and they stole them from Spock from Star Trek.

And so I'll be mad about it forever. She was the original. I know. Do you think he had an infinity tattoo?

Yeah. Think about it. God, I can't even. Where would he put that?

We have to ask Lee. On his butt. What? One of his butt cheeks.

Ew. That's too much for me. That's okay. Yeah.

So I don't know. We are just trying to keep track of how many of those things that we see. We might change like the credential or the things that we're logging week to week. Right.

So it's not just like the same thing because we see a lot of the same people. Yeah. Definitely. Yeah.

Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Okay.

I have like, like with the infinity tattoo thing, right? I wonder what's the best explanation that someone has for getting an infinity symbol tattooed on their body. Because you try to have your reasons when someone's like, oh, what does that mean to you? Right.

Why'd you get that? What's like, I don't know what would be a good reason to get that tattooed on you. Is it just like, well, I'm going to be alive for as long as I'm going to be alive so it's like my version of forever. But it's not like you're going to live forever.

Mm. Your tattoo will be on your body forever. So is that what it symbolizes? The ink on your skin is forever?

Yeah. Because that's a little dumb. Agreed. Like I think some of the reasons people actually do it are more dumb than that.

Because of marriage. Marriage. But we're seeing a lot of 18 year old girls with it tattooed on them. And what does that, you know, I doubt that we've actually seen any married people so far of the ones that are not those people are married.

Yeah, I don't think so. So I don't know. Because I've seen some infinity tattoos that have a word written into it. Right.

So are you going to love people forever or like laugh? Laughing forever, that's too long. That's horrible. Yeah.

No thanks. Yeah, I don't know. Anyways, if you have any ideas about, like write us a story about why you would get an infinity tattoo on your body. Or why you got an infinity tattoo.

Oh, God. Yeah. If you got one and you want to call us out, that's fine. We love being called out.

It's my favorite thing. Yeah. Rosed us. Yeah.

Yeah. That was vlogging. I mean, login. Like, can you log in?

That's how it's pronounced. Yeah. Log in. Yeah.

And so, um, I've got a six segue way for you. But the thing is, is it's a real six segue. Oh, because my six segue leads into a story of an experience that Courtney and I had about a segue way. Oh my God.

I, we've never been more in sync than what happened this very moment. You're walking to our class. And it was like, I don't, can we put a pin in that? Oh, put a pin in it.

Put a pin in that. Um, while you're listening to the story, I want you to be singing in your head or even on a different device. Yeah. Pull up Ava Maria by like a beautiful soprano.

Yeah. Singing as we tell the story. Please. Okay.

Press play. Okay. So we're going to our class and are you listening to Ava Maria? Yeah.

Do it. Yup. That was nice. Thank you.

Thank you. Um, we round the corner of like where our classroom is. And it's this long hallway. Mm-hmm.

And it's in Reed Hall. And we'll have to take a little bit of a cat's picture it. None of the overhead lights are on. It's too hot.

Too hot in that building. Yup. There is a glass window at the end of the hallway. Yes.

And we rounded the corner and Caroline and I both stopped dead in our tracks at the exact same time and just stopped and looked at each other with our mouths wide open and looked back because rolling down the hallway was a boy on a segue. Like because it was backlit in the window, no overhead lights. Yeah. All you can see was the silhouette of this guy on the segue just like slowly rolling down the hallway and like turning the corner and like going off.

Yeah. It was wild. Yeah. Cause he's on a segue.

His legs were apart like a specific amount, like a power stance amount. So it was like this confident, sturdy stance on a segue just leaving Reed Hall. Just the silhouette. Oof.

And we started laughing so joyously. I don't know if anybody else saw that. I don't think anybody did. Just the two of us.

The tiny little impulse to take a photo. Yeah. But I just knew it couldn't capture the bliss of the vision we were seeing. Yeah.

Another song that would have worked for the background of the story would be Vision of Love by Mariah Carey. That's true. I don't know. You're right.

Yeah. I mean it was like the eclipse, right? Like taking a photo it would not do justice. And so yeah, it was amazing.

And yeah, we both were just like stunned. And yeah, we just shared that little moment with the guy on the segue. God. I'll never forget that I don't think.

I hope we find him someday. Segue, sir. Yeah, I just want to shake his hand. Be like, God, thank you so much for your bravery.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Thank you for your service. God, you're seeding you. Yeah. Yeah.

I'm a seed. It's like a global seed. Oh, well, trusty seed. Yeah.

Yeah. So that's we've just had a couple of stories for you that we want to start with. That is the first one. I have a story for you.

And it is not one. You can quit playing Aubyn Marie at now by the way. Or don't. I mean, you can sit on.

Gosh, that is heavenly. I'll tell you that. So my story is one of terror. Well, not terror.

I'll say I'll say stress. I'll say it's like a professor that I was always worried to make her upset. And so I always wake up in the morning. I go to the library at 7 a.m.

and I do my homework. So I put myself down on the bench and in the downstairs of the library, there's this beautiful pink, like pastel pink bathroom that is really sweet to me. And I think it's really nice. Hello.

So I was using that because you know this morning and I, so, okay, it's stalled. So it's not like a single bathroom, but there's still a handle on it. So when I tried to tell my mom the story, she thought I was stupid. Okay.

She thought I got stuck in a stall. Listenaries, I got stuck in a public bathroom on a Thursday morning at like 7.05 a.m. That's so scary. Like I washed my hands.

I had checked myself in the mirror to make sure I was doing okay. And I tried for the door, the door to the entire bathroom and it was jammed shut. I just couldn't move the handle up or down. So I'm like, oh my God, I'm not going to be able to class.

Oh my God, I'm going to get a bad grade. Oh my God. So I didn't really know what to do. I didn't want to call 911, but I definitely thought about it because I love to overreact.

I didn't text anyone while I was in the bathroom. Okay. Because I was a little embarrassed at that point. So I started hitting the door with my open hands just like a...

Oh. And I didn't want to cry for help. So I was just smacking at the door like hello. And then I waited for a little bit and I did three more of those.

Three more smacks, smacks, hello. And finally I didn't have to cry for help. I just had to ask hello. And this other girl came and opened the door.

And it was just like we were very close together because I was on the door. I was like, oh my gosh, because she saved my entire life. Because she opened the door. She's like, were you stuck?

I was like, yeah, the door handle. Just quit going. It quit doing it. As we tried it and we tested it and it worked.

And it was fine. But we didn't trust it. So we got someone and they just put a door stopper on the door. Oh, good for you for doing that.

It would have been a nightmare if that had happened to someone else too. But good. Because 7am is not a high traffic time ever. It could have been empty down there.

I could have been down there until like 10am. It's so scary. So I sat down at my place and my hands were shaking and I told some of my friends. I got a snap about it.

It was funny too because that morning I slept in. I didn't have to be anywhere until like 11. So I slept in and I like, I like, broadly woke up, rolled over, like, looked at the snap. And then in my head I was like, oh God.

Okay. And I turned off my phone and went back to sleep. And then I forgot to ask about it until now. So I got to hear the story.

I'm glad you're okay. Thank you. I've made it. Gosh, you just see your life flash before your eyes and you just treasure the little moments.

That's sarcastic by the way. I'm not that cheesy. But I am. It's a thing.

But yeah, I definitely like to clap before I go to the library. I'm like, well I don't stuck in the library bathroom. Oh my God. So yeah.

That was a story from the week. Holy moly. Just like, side note from there. Yes, put a pin in there.

That happened. So I work in a theater and we were doing a production of the Nutcracker last winter and a couple, like two of the ballet dancers, younger girls, probably like seven or eight, got stuck in the bathroom with the dressing rooms during the intermission of the performance. And so we're like locking up the doors after intermission, like getting ready to start the second half of the show. And like, someone comes running down the stairs from the dressing room and they're like, two of our dancers are stuck in the bathroom.

We can't start the show. And so we postponed the show like seven minutes and someone went up there with like a screw, like my boss went up there with a screwdriver and like took off the door handle and like opened up. And we have no idea how like it locks me inside. So we have no idea how they like, they were old enough to like be able to lock themselves up.

Scary stuff. Were they okay? Were they fine? No, they were fine.

It's scary. Nice and scary, but yeah, it worked out in the end, but it was, you know, it's just one of those things that you're like, how could you get stuck in the bathroom? Well, I'm here to tell you. Yeah.

Until it happens to you. Yeah. Dear God, I have one more point on it. Okay.

Are you familiar with our Kelly's song stuck in the closet? No, it's called Trap in the Closet. No. It's this opera he wrote, it has an entire story line, but it's about this guy that's like at this girl's house and they have just done the F.

Yeah. They're having F. Okay. And he wakes up in the morning and they're like, good morning.

And she's like, oh my God, my boyfriend's coming home. And he's like, you have a boyfriend, so he goes and like sits in the closet and this whole opera is just about this guy that was sitting in the closet and then the boyfriend finds him in the closet, except the tune to the song goes, I'm not in the closet. I can come in the room. No one's trapped in the closet.

Dun, dun, dun. Yeah. Whoa. I started thinking in my head like, if this goes on long enough, I too could write an opera about Trap in the library bathroom.

I'm going to trap in the bathroom. I'm going to trap in the bathroom. Now I'm snap-tapping. Now I'm snap-tapping.

Yeah. Wow. Shit. We're fine.

I'm so glad you're okay. Thank you. Yeah. We all made it this far.

These two ladies are still rolling. Yes. Mm-hmm. Beautiful.

Yeah. We got like one more little quote. Oh my God. Okay.

We were doing our project for our class and it's like, right now, guys, we're studying all about lines. Lines. Which sounds so boring. And it is.

It's really hard. But it's like really hard because they're like, he's like, draw some lines and then people come in and they've drawn like, you know, the fucking Mona Lisa or something. Like Van goes starring Knight. Yeah.

And I'm like, I don't know how to do that. Anyway, so we have this project where he's like, draw some lines and we're like, okay. That's the whole project. And on a rubric for this project, it was like, this is like a very beginning basic art class and it's like, draw as many lines as you want.

But try not to make any shapes. He's like, try and stay away from making shapes. That's too advanced for you guys. Some lines can look like rectangles.

Yeah. We don't want that. Exactly. So it was like, you know, try to avoid some shapes.

So I decided, you were talking about that and I was like, well, you don't gotta make a shape about it. You don't gotta. So yeah, don't. Listeners, you don't gotta make a shape about it.

What was our first bit of advice for the week? Don't get trapped in the bathroom. I don't know. What was it?

I don't know more. We'll listen back when it was. But our second piece of advice listeners is, you don't gotta go making a shape about it. Don't make a shape about it.

Anything can be happening, but you don't gotta. You could if you wanted to. Yeah. I mean, you could.

If you couldn't make a shape about it. But you don't gotta make a shape about it. You don't gotta make a shape about it. You don't gotta is a really funny phrase.

You don't gotta. You won't gotta. Hey guys, you don't gotta. That's it.

Hey, don't do that, maybe. Hey, you don't gotta maybe. Hey, you don't gotta make a shape about it, maybe. Yeah.

Those are our six stories from the week. Wow. Yeah. I'm glad to really relive that with you.

Yeah, me too. I had trouble with that sentence, sorry. You're good. Thank you.

No, I think you're fine. Oh, thank you. Next, Courtney's got some sick Twitter drafts. I mean for us.

Courtney, I was gonna tell you. What's your Twitter handle? Like your personal Twitter handle. Oh, at Courtney, on their score, Yo-Witch.

Makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. She has some really funny thoughts and she tweets them.

Thank you. Oh, are you gonna talk? Which one? The one that we were talking about?

Is it? The Floyd Mayweather one? You talk about them. It's your original thought.

All right, here's a dining hall. Let me tell you about a time. We were in the dining hall, me and my boyfriend Josh. And talk about ancient history, which we weren't, but now we're gonna.

We heard someone say really loudly to their friend, Do you even lift, bro? Shut up. Which I haven't heard in the thousand years. Yeah, it's 2011.

Yeah, honestly. And so we both were just kind of shocked that we had heard someone say that. And so I wrote a tweet that just said, Floyd Mayweather didn't die so that you could say, Do you even lift, bro, out loud to your friend in public in this year of our Lord 2017? It was your mother.

So, you know, Floyd Mayweather didn't die for that. No. It was just like math more than die for this. Exactly.

Yeah. Any of this. Any of it. I just think that's a fun instance of a recording.

But that's not in your drafts. It's not in my drafts, but I have some sticks up in my drafts because like, I don't know, sometimes I think of something that I think is really funny. And sometimes it's not, but sometimes it's okay. And I'm very particular.

Like, I don't want to be that kind of person who tweets every thought that I have. And I'm very careful about it. So I like to space that out. And so sometimes I'll just put it in my drafts and save it for later, but then I forget that it exists.

You save it for a rainy day. I save it for a rainy day. Catch a falling tweet and put it in your pocket. I'm just saving your drafts for a rainy day.

Yeah. So I haven't let these fade away and I'd like to bring them to you now. Thank you. And we'll start from the longest time ago, the most recent.

For the longest time. I wish I would tell you how long ago these were. So this is the, I have three. This one is from several months ago when I was getting ready to move into my new place.

And this tweet just says, I put the ho in home decorating. How? How? I'm a ho for interior design.

Damn right now. Because I love the idea that like anything that I lived in would look nice all the time. But yeah. But it doesn't end up like that ever.

But I just really like going on to like pottery bar or like wayfare and like looking at all their fancy. I'm like, oh we did this. I was gonna say tapestry, but like I kind of am making fun of that. Cause like I think it's funny when people are like, oh guys, let's take this tapestry.

Look at the tapestry. Yeah. So that's another thing where it's like, oh yeah. Do you think we're gonna roast it though?

If you have a tapestry like, that's fine I guess. You do you, but we might roast it a bit. You can roast things that I like. All the time.

Or that Courtney likes. I'll say for her. Yeah, of course. Tweet your roast of the things we like.

JTEL Podcast. JTEL Podcast. Oh no. So yeah, you can roast us.

No guarantees that I won't find you and be your ass about it. No guarantees that I won't cry about it. No guarantees that I will make a shape about this. But I will.

Wait, my question is, okay, if you put the ho in home decorator, what do the property brothers do? Do they put the ho in home decorator? Kind of. That's why I'm through with them.

I'm over the property brothers. I saw them on a magazine cover the other day. And I was just like, yelled in the middle of the store. I was mad at them for you.

Thank you. You're welcome. I just wanted to know. Yeah, I just saw their hands on faces and got pissed about it for like a half second.

That's all I have going for them. I'm pissed. But that's not cut. You have so much going for you.

And you put the ho in home decorator. Wow. That's hilarious. So yeah, if you want to talk about like paint swatches or like wall art or like a really nice couch.

Or you know, like accent pieces, accent pillows, especially. Oh, throw pillows. We can talk about accent pillows any day. So just like, hit me up.

I spent maybe half an hour here one day trying to decide between two types of yellow pillows. Yep. I was like yellow pillows and that's not how you pronounce pillow. Yellow pillows?

Yellow pillows? Yes. Good draft. Thank you.

Here's number two. Okay. This was from recently when I flew down to Denver and I was like, you always encounter interesting things on airplanes or in airports. And the great thing about this one is that I had completely forgotten about this until the second I opened my Twitter address.

And I'm so glad I saved this because it was the best experience. This tweet just reads, Relics of an Ancient World. Colin. The man next to me on this plane has a blackberry phone.

Is that on an ancient world? Yeah. It was like an ancient artifact. I haven't seen a blackberry being used since 2009.

What kind of blackberry was it? Like with the clicky keyboard? Yeah. Was it like the full phone?

The full phone. Yeah. The slide up. No.

It was just like the like shield shaped phone. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.

I'm really nice click but like if you were my mom, you couldn't type on that thing because her fingers were too big. Everyone's fingers were too big. Yeah. Everybody's thinking.

So like the click was good but space wise you hit like five buttons at a time to retouch it. Here you go. So did I have a little rolly button? Oh my God.
