from Tramway Visual Arts Podcasts · host jellycast

This podcast explores Duncan Campbell's latest exhibition: Make It New John. A documentary film-based work following the rise and fall of legendary car designer and engineer John DeLorean, famous for, among other things, the DMC12 'Back to the Future' car. The podcast features interviews with Duncan Campbell himself, as he discusses why he chose DeLorean as the subject of this work, what inspires him about working with film, and his development into the realm of feature film. Lorraine Wilson, Tramway's visual arts programmer discusses why this work is important in Tramway here and now. The public also voice their reactions to the work, along with some of Duncan Campbell's art-peers from the Glasgow visual arts scene who turned out in force at the preview night to celebrate Campbell's first solo show in Scotland.
