Episode #3 Mindful Life Podcast Josh Young-Adapted Athlete

from Mindful Life Podcast · host Maryanne Eve

In Episode #3 of the Mindful Life Podcast, I talk with 27yo Adapted CrossFit athlete Josh Young from Melbourne, Australia. In 2017 the young father of 2, with another baby on the way, was seriously injured in a mountain bike accident, as a result Josh is now a T12 Paraplegic. I was lucky enough to have a chat with Josh about his journey to becoming an adapted athlete representing Australia, incredibly just 2 short years after his accident. Josh tells us a story of obstacles and struggle but he also tells a story of determination, acceptance, compassion and gratitude and of living in the moment. Josh's positive attitude and positive outlook are truly inspiring and an incredible lesson for us all.   ****If you'd like to assist Josh with sponsorship or to support him in any way on his journey to Miami, to compete at Wodapolooza as Australia's only qualifying adapted athlete, please email   [email protected]   To contact Josh direct, find him on Instagram under the handle young.josh_  If for any reason, you have found the content of todays podcast triggering or distressing in any way please consider accessing some professional support (Aust only);  Telephone Counselling support  *Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636  *Lifeline 131114  You can find The Mindful Life Podcast on Facebook and Instagram under the handle Mindful Life Podcast.  To collaborate or make contact, please email [email protected]  Pic courtesy of Herald Sun-Mark Stewart
