Episode 3 - Poverty in Malaysia: To Give A Man A Fish Or To Teach Him How To Fish? (SDG 1: No Poverty)

from RealiTEA Podcast · host Realist

Discussing the direction of this podcast with Goal 1 in mind was an eye-opening experience for friends, Firdaus, Zaed and Afiqah.  Apparently, we knew little about what’s actually going on with poverty here in Malaysia and just like everyone else too, something needs to be done to combat this long term problem here in our beloved country. This podcast aims to paint a clearer picture of how poverty in Malaysia is like. With Mr James Raj (Liaison Officer to Head of Secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sustainable Development Goals) who has over 25 years of experience in the field as our guest speaker, we would also discuss the ideal ways to tackle the situation. We hope that this would serve as an inspiration for all of us to do our part to get closer to No Poverty.
