Is given" (δίδοται – didotai)  Pronunciation DIDO-MEo This verb is in the present passive indicative. That means- Present: God is continually giving. Passive: We receive ratherthan earn. Indicative: This is a statement of fact, not a command. The gifts are supernatural: “the manifestation of the Spirit”.A manifestation of the Spirit is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that makes God's presence evidentthrough a believer to strengthen, encourage, and build up the body of Christ. The Spirit is the star of this passage, not the gifts.o The Spirit distributes them as He wills: Vs. 8   For to one is given through the Spiritthe utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to thesame Spirit.
