It would be 70 days before she would be found roughly 30 miles away in Canadian waters. Police were quick to rule her disappearance as a suicide despite the lack of evidence and only a set of footprints. Substantial evidence has been brought forward by the family to further discredit this as a suicide and question the authorities involved. A botched investigation from the start, timeline discrepancies, a dead eye witness, evidence of foul play, and police corruption have continued to motivate the family in their fight for justice.
