Episode 30 Bruce Good

from Tommy Solo's famous friends · host Tommy Solo

Bruce Good along with his twin Brother Brian were influenced by their musically talented parents to start playing music when they were very young. Their talent as multi instrumentalists, coupled with the good fortune of being in the right place & the right time caught the attention of promoters Kenny Walker & Thor & George Eaton (famous Eaton family) who booked them to open for Bonnie & Delaney & Grand Funk Railroad at Massey gardens. This lead to many more high profile shows & a temporary stay in California. Feeling homesick & with wives & young children waiting at home, Bruce & Brian parted ways with their partner James Ackroyd & returned to Toronto, Ontario where they recruited their younger brother Larry & became the Good Brothers. Gordon Lightfoot acted as their mentor & encouraged them to focus on writing their own material. They haven't looked back since & have logged over 50 years in the music business. We talked about all of this and a lot more in this episode.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/tommy-solo-s-famous-friends--4318572/support.
