Emily Middleton is a wife, a mom, a Registered Nurse, and a Lactation Consultant. While she has traveled and lived throughout the United States, Emily is proud to say that her southern roots run deep and West Columbia, South Carolina is her home. Her professional background is in Neonatal Nursing and Lactation Consulting. Emily has spent the past twenty years of her career in the hospital setting helping women and families learn how to breastfeed and care for their newborn infants.  In all of her efforts to increase and improve the support she was giving at the bedside, the reality was that most often moms and families felt rushed, overwhelmed, and unprepared when leaving the hospital. Understandably, many people begged Emily, (literally) to come home with them.  Her business, The Latch RN gives her the opportunity to do just that.  Emily offers personalized access to consistent, evidence-based, lactation, postpartum, and newborn care in the comfort of your own home. Her ultimate goal is to offer you guidance and support as you learn to trust your body, your baby, and your intuitive process during this precious phase of your parenting journey.
