Episode 30: Learn How To Change Your Negative Habits With Executive Coach Angie DeGeronimo

from Cracking Open with Molly Carroll · host Molly Carroll, MA, LPC

Welcome to 2023. I am so glad you are here! While reflecting on this brand new year and today’s podcast episode, I was reminded of the classic Native American legend called The Tale of Two Wolves. An elder Cherokee is teaching his grandson an important lesson about life. “There is a fight going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other wolf is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith." Then the elder placed a hand on his grandson and said, “The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The grandfather simply replied, “The one you feed.”So instead of setting New Year’s resolutions (which statistically often fail), I encourage you to instead ask yourself, “Which wolf do I want to feed this year?”Listening to today's conversation with Angie DeGeronimo is the perfect way to learn how to feed the healthy and more loving wolf inside of you.
