Episode 30: Suicide Squad is Degeneracy

from Hopped-Up 64

The summer movie season's getting red-hot, and our man-on-the-street Matthew Emery is more than ready to get burned. He tells us all about his new favourite film, Suicide Squad, starring his new favourite actor, Jared Leto, detailing all of his favourite moments! Well, that's not actually true. Any of the last sentence, really. But we do talk the hell out of superhero movies, which is apparently the only thing we can all agree to do these days. Some good conversation on Marvel vs DC, Thanos vs Darkseid, and some poorly-utilized sexual metaphors to balance out the band. Afterwards Bill gives us his early preview of No Man's Sky, which obviously turns into a discussion about of how much everyone misses Diablo 2. I don't think this is even a video game podcast anymore, guys. Also some talk on Kelly's fear of dark water, and the triumphant return of Whiskey Watch! Hosts: Chris Norris, Matt Emery, David Beebe, Bill McDonnell, Kelly Wright Beer of the Week: Le Trou Du Diable's Four Surfer's of the Apocalypso Music by Sebastian Bender

They call it “running in slow motion,” and that pretty much sums up the vibe. This isn’t a marriage podcast (their union ranks a generous 5 out of 10, after all), but it is a refreshingly honest, smart, and funny take on relationships, ambition, and everyday chaos. From real talk to pop culture and unexpected interviews, it’s a joyride of relatable moments and laugh-out-loud observations.
