Episode 30 - Week 1 Recap

from Grab Don't Slap

The Starting 5 deliver a great episode discussing what went down during the first week of the season. They kick off the show by adding a new segment to the show's lineup, called Overreaction or Underreaction. A few guys come with some takes and statements that you can pull from the first week of the season, and everybody decides if that take is an overreaction or an underreaction. This segment sparks up some great conversation, and this definitely won't be the last time you see this on the show. They then transition into what seems like an every-episode occurrence on the show, the Ben Simmons drama. They discuss what they think will happen with Simmons and Daryl Morey going forward. But you won't be hearing about Simmons too much anymore from the Starting 5... you'll understand why if you tune into this episode. After that, they discuss realistic expectations from the Warriors this season. They then go over players who were snubbed off the Top 75 list, and they talk about players who could be taken off. They go over the Lakers' early season struggles, and they wrap up the show by asking each other "Is the Eastern Conference finally starting to surpass the Western Conference?" This show is filled with great and entertaining conversation, so be sure to check it out!
