Having been engineering retro-themed net-based independent electronic music since before the days of vaporwave, 18 Carat Affair was a top pick and in fact a stretch goal for the show; and we spent the evening enchanted by insight into their craft and taste in art and music. The evening seemed to end before it even started, as we heard 18 Carat's poetic takes on everything from age-old methods of cratedigging, the importance of negative emotions like terror and tragedy in art, and the extremely unique production methodology that they utilize!
