Episode 31: How Can Rejection Make You Rise? - Interview with Precious S. Carter

from Dream to Rise · host Cynthia Encinas-Concordia

Have you been rejected in life? Facing rejection can be hard. It can make you sad, hurt, or angry. Rejection actually really hurts. There’s no way around it. Any kind of rejection, in your life love, career, friends, or anything else, is not something that should not affect your happiness in life. We all experience rejection in our life and at that time we feel alone, ashamed and unwanted. We often get turned down in our life. These failures are a part of our life. But still, it hurt and makes us feel bad about ourselves.  Do you think rejection is good for us?  So how do people deal with it?  Getting rejected is not the end of the world and actually, it helps us in the long run to become better individuals.  I've heard people say that "Rejection is nothing more than a necessary step in the pursuit of success." Let us listen to Precious Carter's life story.  She was born at a prison and from that time on, she already felt that rejection.  She was moved from one home to another, was a black sheep in the family and felt she didn't fit.  No one would accept her.  She experienced a lot of challenges since childhood, and this made her take that uncomfortable action to change her life.  What did she do to make that change and now a successful entrepreneur, speaker, coach and author?
