Episode 31 - Only Lovers Left Alive

Hipster vampires sip human blood like it's fine brandy in Jim Jarmusch's latest film.  The venerable American indie auteur turns his dispassionate eye to the subject of preternatural beings in love.  The couple (named Adam and Eve) have been in love for centuries, and Adam is growing world-weary.  They get their supply of blood from a nearby hospital so they no longer feast on the living...or will they?  "Only Lovers Left Alive" left Phil cold with it's aloof portrayal of a grim, emotionally detached world.  Andrew dug the flick, partly because of its appeal as an intellectual exercise.  Either way, listeners, this podcast is something you can really sink your teeth into...
