Episode 317 - Mariffa Da Rasta

Joining me on episode 317 is Central Texas native and New Mexico based artist Mariffa Da Rasta. Mariffa was sent to me by former guest @larussoworld a couple of months prior so it was great to finally have a true discussion with him. He described his sound and what it means to him to be able to inspire listeners through his lyrics while also using music as a platform to help provide for his family. Having established a good home base in New Mexico he also has been busy utilizing studio time to help craft new music. This includes his most recent EP “Chronicles Of Mariffa” as well as his forthcoming project “Depression Is Expensive” that’s set to release in the coming months. When speaking about the projects theme, he revealed that it will be a much deeper dive into his personal life and overcoming hardships along with many of the lessons he’s learned along the way. As someone who loves the art of story telling and honesty in music I am looking forward to the first listen.
