Today in the middle of Lent we have the celebration of the Annunciation. It is exactly 9 months before Christmas. Christmas contains the thought that Jesus was born to die. Lent contains the thought that Jesus walks towards Calvary and the hope of the Annunciation is one of promises delivered. Both events contained within the need for Jesus to die for salvation. He was born to die. Our God is a God of hope. Praised be Jesus! Mary said yes. She is the vehicle of our hope, the holiest of tabernacles.
