On this week’s episode of Haus Of Cult, we’re switching things up a bit and putting our trusty co-host Alessandro in the guest chair this time in honor of his band House Of Blue Leaves’ return after a multi-year hiatus. Join us as we chat with Alessandro and his longtime bandmate Joe about House Of Blue Leaves’ musical journey dating all the way back to 2014 in Seattle, Washington playing an angsty blend of shoegaze, grunge and post-hardcore that fans of Deftones, Superheaven and Title Fight will surely enjoy! In this chat, we unpack the glory days of the Pacific Northwest punk scene, going from shoegaze to soundcloud rap detours, mental health and so much more.  While the band has largely been inactive since 2017 with a few sporadic reunion shows since, House Of Blue Leaves’ is finally returning for real with a brand new album Familiar Hell (their first since 2016) set to drop later this year! This past June, the band released their dark and ominous new single “Goldeneye,” offering a small taste of what’s to come.
