Episode 32: Mike Bab-gone

James Paracy and Aidan Serra bring you an episode as the NHL preseason gets going, providing an update and some thoughts on the Mike Babcock situation and his recent resignation. They discuss early looks at the NHL rookie class of this coming season, touching on Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, and Logan Cooley. They then move on to discuss a couple of free agent situations, first, Steven Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning’s seemingly stagnated the negotiations. Following that, they touch on reports that Trevor Zegras may not be getting too lucrative a contract offer from the Ducks. Aidan’s first use of his WHL press pass was a trip to the Red Deer Rebels’ 2023-24 season opener, and he provides a scouting report on 2024 draft-eligible Rebels centreman Ollie Josephson.
