I Oh, sorry, what year did you make my high school 2011? Okay, so where you're buying? Oh, yeah Yeah, or I'm here. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, cool Um, when you messaged me just real quick.

Oh, you mentioned me that night before it was like yo You mind if we switch the topic to talent? Yeah, yeah, I text that to my girlfriend and we were talking about night I'm so 10. Um, and she was like wow you're just gonna talk for an hour about all your confidence and how good you are I was like damn right This long dick check it out lay down don't pull out pull out I'm not that efficient. I feel it.

I feel it. No, cuz like we were like I told him I was like hey my friend Him yet. He wants to join for you. You know, he wants to guess.

Yeah, he's like cool. We can talk about it I don't fucking know bro. He's like no, but no And then we're talking like well, he's very you know, you're very musically like you put a star what not So yeah, so I told him about that we could do like maybe a music part two He's like yeah, cool cool, and then I was listening to our old music podcast and I was just like yeah, maybe not Yeah, let's let's do talents or something because you know, I was telling him how in Song on our last episode of riz on a view listen to that one Yeah, like how we talked about we met also through the Filipino club and then I don't know if I left it in that episode or not But we're talking about same face and how I was in it with you and Davey and we performed to root They had liners. Yeah, that year that was tight.

We were like the best ones. Yeah, I mean not really But you know what's funny. What's funny? He told me about that I can't imagine my cousin like dude on stage like It was like wrapping like No, I'm sure to be able to get a video.

Yeah, I'm not supposed to know our Instagram Just a little bit. Yeah, it was a for saving face. You have to do an audition tape. Oh, yeah That's how they I don't know that's how they filter.

I don't know. I think it's how they try to time it wise Like how long the performance takes oh like fill out slots correctly. It wasn't like all this person's tape didn't It was like what's not? Like I think it was mainly for like figuring out Yeah, and then I remember them saying they're like yo out of your audition tapes You guys were the most like hyped like everyone was doing like slower ballets or dancing and they're like yo Can you guys be the headlight and we got excited?

Yeah, we're gonna be the last one So basically we there was a song that I liked I told him about it and then he like learned how to play on the guitar Oh, he sings so he sang like the chorus while me and our other friend Davey wrapped the verses No, we have to own verses. Yeah, so we wrote like our own lyrics and shit. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's really legit I mean, I'll show you the video.

So I mean one of your talents I guess right is playing the guitar for just music in general Yeah, so when I was younger if you live in Stockton and you're filming you probably know like Jeremy passion Gave one up. It's kind of like what a lot of people grew up on I know in the recent my area so guitar was like the come up like everyone Oh, it was trying to sing everyone was trying to get like girls. Um, so for sure. I learned how to play the guitar Um, I always like to sing when I was a younger kid.

Yeah, and I learned how to be box because I thought that was pretty Yeah, I know what it was a beat boxy and drop a beat That's pretty sick man So I'm gonna tell it's thanks to the many apparently that I got like three total That's three total That's three more than I got it I told him like every new talent. He's like So I think it's like no, I'm like it's cool. Just get to know him. What do you mean?

You don't know him so get to know him like I guess no That's cool, though, man. I like so was it you know like some people are like you're born with talent or like I guess you can develop a talent, right? You can practice it. I guess that's what I'm making more of a hobby than at that point Well, that's what I was kind of thinking about asking guys like do you guys know what would be the difference to him like a talent and like a skill Because a skill you can develop.

Yeah, I mean, yeah, like I don't know that difference So do you guys have an opinion on that kind? I mean like so when you say word talent when immediately comes to mind is like Because some people are just born good at something. Yeah, yeah And then like they might not like be good at it until they develop a skill for it like later on that that kind of thing like the whole Just building on it. Yeah, but yeah, I agree I think like talents is more something like Unusual things that people don't usually want to learn how to do I guess in a way or like no Yeah, they just know how to do it like for example, I mean I I was sort of a town but like how certain people could or like how certain people are double-jointed and Some of the arms are like contort their body.

Oh, yeah, I mean like I would consider that like a talent rather than yeah Yeah, but I mean like that's not like a skill you want to I'll never have a fucking turn my arm all the way back like why I'm getting my keys real quick Break your arm. I feel it. Yeah, because I always feel like like a skill. Yeah, you can develop and it could be mistaken for like a talent Yeah, so like if there's a drive to want to do something like you really really want to do it You can develop it and then people say oh, you're really talented Like I remember one of the motivational stuff for me to like sing like a tarp was because for sure I want to get a girl I was like one girl in high-spells like yo Dude, that's why I got into like sort of like rapping cuz I knew I can't fucking see right so but I knew drop some bars I could drop some bars like I'm gonna learn how to like get on flow and get on beat and then just use that to get a girl You never worked here.

That's cool. My joke is always like yo god, baby. I'll be so he's like yo I gotta give you something. I'm sorry.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm gonna be ugly didn't give me a voice I'm so hot You gave it to him. It's like one of two people I mean it's kind of not that nice, but And like everything here is like yo, it's stupid everyone's like what are they talking about? They can't see oh you're talking about our beards anyways So you so you learned how to play the guitar then right or you just did you feel like you were inherently just good at it?

No, I'm not at all not remember Like my cousin was doing it. I was like, oh cool Let me do it with him. So you know, I got me a guitar or whatever because I was like, yeah I really want to try it more try then the first song I learned was more than words I was like and my cousin's like, yes, like do do do do do easy This is not right. What is wrong with me?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then just over time like just started thinking up And my cousin starts and I was like no I really like it's then you see like passion when passion cannot eliminate I was like yo this song to group tote. Okay, thank you I mean I don't listen to them but I'm pretty sure that's like an artist or like it was it was when YouTube was fairly new where I was all like Cat videos and stuff like me. It's still cat Yeah, but there's like one clip. I remember I saw and it was like passion brand new day and he was talking about like Like the opening line was like excuse me sir.

Could you listen to my demo? But before you just up and say no, I should tell you that I'm Filipino and I sing this way and hey By the way, I play guitar though. My ego is not that far There's a buzz on the street that says I might be a superstar and go far by a house and by a car And I was like yo, I've never anyone sing and we just got so many more girl Listen Like when I first heard that I was like, okay cool music doesn't have to be like all slow Yeah, be faster And then you hear then he came out with like ushers rendition of my boo or yeah my boo by usher But acoustic version then ordinary people and I was like yo this is really good. So like I'm a big believer that whoever you listen to is Who you sound like?

So like I know Kyle you really like good y'all so when I heard you rap the first time I was like yo, you know Rep and listen to this is gonna be a bit of a time. I was like, oh dude He sounds like so like I played passion for one of my co-workers before and I was like yo this song's dope They're like, oh is that you cuz it sounds like you It also has been racist. I mean all ages Like this is a bit of me is just different No, that's new is the airtime. We just all kind of sort of sound Asian Yeah, so when exactly did you pick up the guitar like what age like?

Elementary school and You've been playing since yeah on and off yeah, you know when you in high school was big It was something that like I really wanted to do you one of those people that just had their guitar No, I hated those okay For sure had every list and be like can you bring that guy back guitar and singer that's why I just tell me yeah He's just right yeah, I'm gonna do it doesn't matter but yeah music was definitely something I wanted to do But then like you know that you go to college and then after college, you know You think you have school and then what you have school especially like in my major, you know, it's just hard So then after that I picked it up now and then like I'll still sing in the shower I'll still sing in the background always and like I'll pick up the guitar like my cows is gone So that my fingers will start hurting again, you know something like that but um, it's definitely something that won't leave It's hurting that it is right in the bike. Yeah, yeah, it's just hard when my talent's by the way I'm running a bike. Yeah, oh my head pretty good at that, you know With the training wheels without training wheels So that was something where it won't go away. That's pretty cool Yeah, was it like you know like the ukulele and stuff to yours that just like just picked it up a little bit My cousins can do it a lot better than I can it's like totally different.

I feel like it'd be kind of it's Well, right that's why well like when you play the guitar for so long those six strings like your fingers go a certain way And so when you go to four strings, it's like yeah, like it feels weird I mean, oh and also just how the notes are on the ukulele. We just feel a little different It's not too hard to pick it up. I can play like one song ish, but other than that. I'm really practicing too much I think I like it's like talk too much.

Are you good at guitar here? Random questions? Oh, dude. I fucking suck at that game There's yeah, there's a or this article like way back when guitar your camera start very like totally good.

You know It's just it they did the experiment where like they took like professional guitar players and they went on play guitar hero And a lot of them just fucking hated it because like their fingers would like just do the guitar like I guess The thing on guitar but like on guitar heroes only like totally different. It's just But more fight it. Yeah, I think was so hard. I remember playing that like rock band like just trying to I'm not used to my fingers going like that.

Yeah, especially like like fast like that Usually I played like ballads are like a little bit more up-based stuff, but it was all which strumming Yeah, like moving up a bit. Yeah, okay. Actually, I heard post Malone Like that's how you started to learn guitar because he really get a guitar hero He's like I'm good at guitar hero like I just played guitar Like that's really how I got into playing the guitar That's cool, man. He plays the guitar too and like yeah, he plays the guitar and then he was saying like in interviews Like yeah, I was just I started playing guitar hero.

I was like this is pretty dope Like I'm pretty good at this something like that. I couldn't get the story wrong But it can be a part of the guitar. No, that's why I wanted to ask you my guitar to guitar hero Like I might have to ask you about music nowadays just cuz like I didn't listen to anything fairly recent I think the most recent thing I heard was like oh well, I wasn't the candy paint. That's the only post on the song.

I know Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I just listened to Logic's album. Yeah, yeah, yeah Or like it just came out a couple of things ago. I'm like oh it's kind of cool I don't know music nowadays. Are you like a big hip hop fan or is it just more um more like I grew up with like R&B for sure So like sure voice the man Brian tonight usher Okay, anyone into like Chris Brown Mario stuff that you could like sing to a girl too.

I sing that We did we actually did two performances one for saying face and then one for SP formal remember Yeah, okay, I remember that I remember I remember yeah, Davey and Artie the one for us Oh formal was me you and Davey we did let me love you. Oh, yeah, Mario again He sang the chorus me and baby wrote her own lyrics wrapped. Yeah, you know, I can't sing for Davey could sing I'm just the only one out of the group that can't fucking say Yeah, like I'll wrap with you. It's like so short to like your flows are actually really good cuz like it's okay There's other dudes were like yeah on the shit.

Oh, yeah Everybody's rap starts with yo more like but that was always high school So like whenever like I start people like there's always like some black because I put football to them Yo, you be boss. I think there's something. Yeah Like just do some real I feel like how people like all rappers nowadays. That's just like this That's just how it is like especially like we kind of like mumble wrap Just you can just mumble some shit and then like throw it on a good beat like yeah Yeah, you guys talked about that before like never saw she's on or like a Gucci gang song.

Yeah, like it's dope. Yeah Say only one thing On this way the morning those would do a little webby or whatever how like yeah, it's lyricist versus mumble rap And it's just one of those like his tone is like I don't know what it is. I'll show you Wait, there's a video of this white rapper who does like a both of them, right? Yeah I'm a little bit of a commissor on that.

So wait, sorry just to clarify. It's Chris not a doubt. No, so what is it? Oh, yeah, it's over there.

Oh cool Chris is probably the corners on No, so my whole name my real name's Adele Christopher. Okay, that's my real first name I know right it's like But it's so hard explaining that to people there because they're like Christopher's your last name. No No, there's some weird last names. I guess but so like Christopher's weird, but you know it is for a last name But well, yeah, so I just sometimes I go by Dell.

I stopped going by a Dell though. Just cuz people kept singing like That's literally why he stopped by my dog. It's like song. Yeah, no, dude So we always talk about this way.

He's from Philippines or he moved to the Philippines. Yeah, high school or college Sorry, yeah, I'm here high school. So like when he was here in America. We all knew him as Adele I called him Adele all the time like that was his name.

Yeah, and then he moved to the Philippines and I guess over there All just make fun of his name. So like oh, I know the singer. Yeah, I got tired of it. It's our moment Chris Oh, and then like he comes back here like it's out.

He's like excuse me. It's Chris now Alright, yeah, I go like Chris for now. You're so lucky Sorry this podcast. I was like you want to buy my christie.

Oh, my christ. It's my fuck. Alright fine So like we're recording like on Chris as soon as I'm done. Okay, I want to do now.

Yeah, so I'm just to myself But I mean whatever's easier for you man. Oh, I mean, I get confused like when I'm like listening to your guys You're like damn is there another person. Yeah, okay Okay, got you yeah, um I mean I'm telling you what you're telling I mean I write I feel like yeah, right? He's actually pretty good right?

I'm not too sorry wise. Oh, yeah, I know like poetry you're like I tried poetry, but that's like it's so hard because like with The reason I leave the poetry I think this is kind of say for music to you It's like you don't want to emulate certain people yeah, and like poetry I like was like kind of like Yeah, yeah, cuz that stuff was like it had like a really good cadence to it Yeah, like that's a hard match man. Oh, okay You know like how the poetry isn't like you're talking like nowadays. So everyone talks like this.

Yeah, or it's like this like It's not bad like that's like that's cool like in that comfort zone But it's like I really like the structure of like a Shakespearean problem and just that cadence up at all It's a really great art. Yeah, yeah, like it's a hipster I'm not I don't know. I was like wait, he's a beard though I know like porvini no I usually don't like thumbing just thumbing. Oh yeah I Think you look fit for sure that's why yeah, dude black is dating.

That's why I like people were black I kind of know it's like now that you said my closet do it's all black sure I'm I haven't looked at this thing on free shirt black dark-grained dark navy and like a maroon What's like yeah? I don't know if you know it's in there for sure. Yeah, yeah, I know it's just Like it's like cuz you like music. Yeah, obviously kind of want to try to emulate some people sometimes at least try to slow down Yeah, yeah, that's the hard thing about poetry is I like it I can't do it.

Mm-hmm. Yeah, one thing I hated in music It got to a point where like every song I ever sang was either about like having fun or a girl and like I hated that because like that was all like Prior to what I'm doing now. I mean so it's like hey, I don't really need to talk about a girl cuz I have my girlfriend Right, I mean, it's like yo, I'm solid. I don't need to talk about anything else.

Yeah granted. She always is like How can you never get inside of me? Like dude? How can we have a right of song about her?

Like come on? No, well all my lyrics about a certain girl about one person at the end? Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're going now, but it's okay Right, like we have all my personal songs like I have a song written for a girl about to give you this long day Yeah, all day comes to the recording studio of talking nonsense. It's all set up surround sound One bar that black you play the guitar is like I love you I No I was like run around with just a fucking spaz and just like Yeah, I went 63 to 3.

I'm fucking all bit sure like Fuck Jim actually was cow fast a lot of people it was spelled ky l3 SH 0 for whatever fucking reason no one thought the zero was an oh, yeah, like whatever I got to match I'm like who like you broke off actually like the show yeah, yeah, that's a zero. I'm like yeah, so what yeah, of course Right how you gonna get Kyle with ky l3 but not for show with What's your my space name? I did I did it was oh just trying to be cool It was L3 R3 TT and if you look at it spells almost Brett like TT so three in the middle was like I'm one of those like XX nah Name X X feel like that was more like girls alike X X baby girl joy It's like that was like that one kid who's hella into anime and it was like XX and don't really like we bass like yeah Yeah, it's like XX Gucci house. Okay.

Yeah, I usually hot planned or she hot number seven like some like that Yeah, I think I was just coffee shop. I was not very creative I do this my space though in the sense of like having that music playlist You can really tell a lot about somebody from like for sure I'm like what they stop when they didn't have a little music play on the side to see the song name Yeah, I'm gonna look up on YouTube later. Yeah, I'm like I'm mad. Yeah, dude.

I was like come on dude This is a really good song. No, yeah You was at song your beach. It's like I'll have a playlist damn it. Yeah.

Are you still doing? Here and there. Yeah, would you like would you say that's a talent that you do or picked up or develop? No, I guess it's something that I like I started just picked up well cuz in high school me my friends We made YouTube videos.

We actually had like chat with that. Yeah, yeah, yeah dress production shout out Don't look that up. I'm gonna. I said that I look it up I'm just gonna fucking young ass looking stupid anyways, but we made like little YouTube videos like little skits and sketch comedy shit And yeah, I don't know We just like I fell in love with that like just doing that I think it was more so like I liked acting in it No, just being funny and then eventually I was like no, this is pretty cool like getting the shots and like editing it together I never actually edited any of our videos I was like, you know, I want I want to you like I want to learn this shit So that was like originally I was supposed to go to college for civil engineering because I wanted to be an architect Oh, what like specifically like designing houses and shit?

Yeah, but then I was like, no I'm gonna do film because I feel like that was more for me It's just I'm just very creative in a sense like I like doing stuff creatively Oh, you know, I'm saying But that's my time being creative So anyway, so I felt like film was more of an outlet for me to be more creative in that sense I'm like I want to study film I want to be able to make my own movies and like tell stories and shit and then of course, you know typical film people parents Like what yeah, what did you do? Bimps are you getting me? You know, I was just like yeah, why not and like I'm mad But then as soon as like I actually like started showing him the shit that I made and stuff like that Oh, he's actually pretty good at it And then my dad was telling me that his dad was like very keen with the camera like he like loves shooting shit too So I got from him and like I watch him as old like home music shit And like even then like my grandpa knew how to like take certain shots to like you had a you know back then you know the video Recording and you literally like just press the board. Yeah, stop it recording And that's how you edited the videos and like he knew like when to pause it and then when it's recording again Like it looked like a nice film just like damn That's crazy.

I was like I want to do that started studying that school and then realize that this is dope But I haven't got anything yet, but we're getting there slowly. Yeah, yeah That's actually tight because I was trying to figure out when I was younger like hey mom dad Who how do you guys who sings who does like uber forms? Yeah? I mean and I was asking yeah, that's nice thought I was like no I don't want to do this part out.

But part of me was like yo like I thought that was a trick of like oh when they get Start talking y'all okay. Go ahead get your drink. Yeah, no me and Chris picked up our waters at the same time I was like By the way shout out to Brett for bringing us donuts No, I'll leave it there But yeah, I was asking my mom my dad like yo, where do you where do I get it from because my dad wasn't lecture engineer and my mom was Nurse, so I was like alright. Where's this cover?

I found out my dad's out of the family all the boys They all sing and play guitar or like they're musically inclined. I accept my dad I guess and then I asked my mom and my mom really liked performing as like a kid, you know in the Philippines There's like the provinces and yeah, how they have their own like little barrios or like little festivals whatever So my mom participated in like some of the beauty gadgets Yeah, one I don't know if it was one of them or like a couple of yeah, but she liked to be up on stage and like performing I was like oh I get it from a mom they go pretty ham over that like like those like beauty pageants and like those town shows back Yeah, I'm had you don't want to see one dude. They go pretty ham on it Yeah, yeah, it like what's funny is like it's not like a big production or anything like that in terms of like you have all these Like amazing amazing stage hands and everything like that So you got like your lights are staged and then the audience is just out in the like man I was just sitting on like plastic chair. Yeah, yeah, and it's just like what it's like really chill at the same time It's like you see all these talents come out and it's like it's pretty sick man.

You ever get a chance to go? You should yeah, we're going back home this year. We're going back in October. I think oh my god Do you know what province your family's really?

Yeah, including okay from Santalucia. All right nice. Yeah, I have no idea where the I'm always asked because like any Filipino fans of us. Oh, where you guys from?

What's your last name? I'm like crap. I have no clue. Like you local sewer.

That's it. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's all I know about it You know, I feel like that but I mean it's a great chance to go back man Like when I was because I was there four years So it's like yeah, you really do see the differences between like oh for sure like Filipino American culture Yeah, and like just Filipino culture in general Like you really do see like what's like transfer over and stuff like that There's always like a three-legged dog like everywhere kind of in the province like I've always seen one or two three like a dog Yeah Like We can Speaking of talent shows. Did you ever like do any I did a good amount actually so a couple Yeah, well in high school and in college So I think the first time I did was in middle school And that was the first time I sang lemonade cuz I was like yo, I need to do this and there were girls there And like the best thing ever is when you start any like singer who starts singing usually like their little support group is there Yeah, and like you hear the stream from there Yeah, but then it's weird when like you hear other people who don't know you and they they do the same thing And you're like yo, this is time So yeah, that was my first one in middle school then it's you waitress.

That one was just more like a fundraiser Oh, just so yeah, there's no like competition You want? No, dude, so okay, so you guys know the bar your festival that's out here? No. Oh, so in a little Manila they used to do a town stop to yeah, I don't know if they still do it but they had the bar festival and it was for like a summer of days and There was like a portion that I went to where it was like a talent show portion So I was like, oh, hell yeah, let's fucking do it So went out there saying and I knew other people that sang and it was just fun to do and then we lost to like a five-year-old girl I'm like a star-spangled banner or something I don't like that's I don't like that's someone's niece dude.

No, hey And like I think the driving force for me doing like shows like that even at in college It was mainly like to make friends so a lot of like my younger cousins have asked me or like this other people Like how do I make friends or whatever? I'm pretty sure that's a question you guys might get every so often too on your podcast and I do And so like they're asking like yeah, I don't make friends What I'm supposed to do and like big thing is like all right find what you like and do it to the best of your ability Yeah, and people flock to you especially if you're good at it, you know, I mean so that's how I met everyone at SP Yeah, he was so good at seeing you like this guy. How's about pal well like I remember I was getting ready freshman year to like drop it I'll get ready because I was like because I didn't go to friendship games And it's like the main thing during fall semester is friendship games like games practice paying dues that are done And I didn't go and so all the meetings afterwards was like hey guys remember we did this after she games remember this sucks And so yeah, and so sexy had like a first year seminar like talent show first year seminar is a class And it's something to tell you get acclimated with the with the campus and so there was a talent show and I know they did that Yeah, I did like because I actually done that First year Both I Yeah, I did that and I was a talent show. I was like all right cool.

Let's go So I went and I remember I told I think Angela because she was the president that time of co-fact I thought and I was like hey, I'm doing this thing Can you guys come out and support and they're like yeah? We'll just make that one our tickets so after every meeting there's a ticket that everyone goes to and so or like most And so all of SP went when I was on stage and so they're gonna be saying and I was like oh, that's tight And like you see everyone else is like all right. Here's all the competitors or like they're like sport people on one side And the whole other half is all Filipino's yeah I'm just like and then like I found out that at the end of it I want Oh, yeah, yeah, so I want like a little like trophy head kind of thing That's cool. Yeah, we tuition for those Oh, yes, oh yes, you know any prize winner?

I don't know. I remember getting a trophy I'm sure you got more That's it Congratulations, you get the best one Congrats, well we gave you the stage to do what you saw Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah So yeah, so that's always my big thing It's like you will find friends if you do things that you're good at or things that you like to the best of your ability Can I find out what you're good at Chris? I don't know Yes True, no fans Sad, you know Sadials like You're like thought about doing something like like have you thought about what talents you want to learn but can't just because they're like Maybe too difficult or like I'm pretty good at everything Like me like I heard the arty podcast like he's like successful because I was wallet cute Listen here already Such straight right now. Let me just see Alright, no I can't like I really like basketball right and so whenever I like something I'm sesibre So like I'll watch videos on how to do something I'll look at my favorite players or favorite positions or whatever and like learn what they do But then what sucks about that so After three days of playing straight up basketball dude like your knees are swimming you can't bend anymore And you're like fuck I can't do this.

That's why I like this. Yeah, right? It's like man, I love you so much and then like and that's why I switched like the more time because I'm sorry I do more time. I'm pretty much a killer yellow armband You classes on one up.

Do you classes out here? Yeah, I'm talking I wanted to start like taking classes or something like that or whatever I don't know if you want to wear it's that for sure. Well, how often do you go? I go three days a week Yeah, yeah, like what time discovery what what time is like do you go?

Mmm, it's so it's usually six though Tuesday Thursday is a cardio at six tonight. Yeah, it's all the night time Well, when I go there's morning classes at like 10 a.m. Or something like that. What am I worth?

Right? Yeah, so it's my my schedule is Obviously I work nights over for real. Yeah, that's why yeah I was going down if you want to put it in the podcast I was gonna ask where you work it because like I'm heard it. It sounds like it's editing like don't know exactly what I think That's my like side job.

Oh, yeah My actual like full-time job is like totally not anything of my degree I literally just check video conference rooms like equipment and shit. Oh, okay. Yeah, I mean Yeah, I'm telling bro. I like it check that shit every day.

I'm right. Yeah, no, but yeah, I work on the prison. Oh shit Yeah, not too far. Okay Was it the New Year's Revolution's one?

Well, I thought about taking out music music lessons actually. I want to play piano do that Like like yeah, like you just play the guitar, right? You don't play any other? Yeah, there's no other Yeah, there's no other instrument I play.

I tried doing piano for a minute and it was one of those like oh It'd be cool to like you know pick up piano do your rhyming night thing. Yeah, but like what yeah But like guitar for me every song I've learned was either like you look at tabs or like like where to place your fingers Or I did everything by just by listening to it. Yeah, for some reason I can't do that by on piano. Yeah, it doesn't translate because there's too many goddamn keys Yeah, my god dude and like what you gotta you have to really be able to like reach all the camera and what I've noticed It's like your left hand is like the melody and the pulse of everything and then your lyrics are like the shining stuff is up here on My hand and I'm like I always wanted to learn how to play piano as well.

Like I know one little song, but like what's really funny No, it's just Actually, I want to be told it's like shit Yeah, that one you know how to play that one But like what's funny is that's like you say like the left hand's one certain like thing I only know how to play the right hand with both hands Yeah, I play with both hands and the right hand with both hands So it's just like I could never fucking I've been trying like I know how I know how to do the right hand of still Dre okay, I know how to do that and I was trial and left hand but like I have this funny I can rap and like rap on beat but like when it comes to like playing on beat I can't like I'll do the right hand and then like I'll try to do the left hand But the right hand so I'm doing the same thing the right hand So but but I can't like control the that's something told you separate too because a lot of people can say like oh Yeah, I play guitar, but I can't sing and play guitar at the same time I've heard that a lot. Yeah, I'm like, yo, that's crazy because like I don't I get it But then there are some songs like you just can't do it on like there was a I remember I did a one of the pasted shows with my Auding rain lane and we did bills by Disney's child and like the the picking pattern is so like complicated and whatnot But I can't sing and do it at the same time because you're focused so much on like doing getting it right on the yeah Yeah, so that stuff gets very complicated. Yeah, yeah, that's one talent I think I would like to try to get good at this probably piano But I should spend some music lessons like a hundred bucks. Yeah by a piano and watch YouTube lessons true I don't think about getting like those little keyboard trying keyboard Yeah, yeah, what helped me a lot was like I would annoy my dad mom every night because we only had one computer in the house I'd be on YouTube with my headphones on just trying to learn like a new song or whatever and like they're about to go to bed So I'm just like playing really you saw Yeah, but it's like you're trying to pull on the strings, but you need to hear it But you don't want to be too loud to wake up your mom down like you know So like yeah, yeah, yeah No, oh, sorry dad But yeah, like I would always say like whoever if you want to pick up piano I'm assuming there's a person you like and so you just keep listening to that person and then keep or watch covers of other people to That person or you can listen to theirs and just see what they do here what they do and look at their hands See like the people that could do that though like like you said you learned how like either watching the chords or just listening to them Yeah, like I think that's like a huge ass tell it like people who could do that like just listen to something like copy I'm so how the fuck do you know like he's playing a G got it boom?

You know, it's like what any court or sorry not any court. I only know like five chords and like you're like oh play g boom And it's like a placey shark fuck I don't know it. That's a G in You're talking about bro. Yeah, but yeah, that was also something that I didn't know that people didn't couldn't do that either Like I always thought you could hear something and you couldn't match it but then some people can't yeah So that was something I never understood so is that something that you think you just in there inherently had or I think so Yeah, I think that might be cuz I feel bad.

There's one person I met who like she was like tone death Like when I say tone death like usually you can play like like a little note on a piano or keyboard Right and you'll sing to match it, but she just couldn't do it and I'm just like very It was like Don't My thing Like Maybe you're saying we're like too much or maybe you're not projecting as much as you should be Yeah, and shit like that and I'm like you pick up on that because it's yourself But other people can't hear it and they can't see it and whatever like they can't pick up on the subtle things that you can see So that's our I'm pretty sure once this podcast comes out. I'm like So yeah, so basically I guess because I had asked them like oh they will talk about talents and whatnot like you You were very good at the guitar and like singing and stuff. So how come you didn't want to pursue that for college? I mean you want to study music.

There's a lot of factors to it. So towards like my junior year of high school Like I started thinking of like okay, you're me a senior next year. You're gonna be applying to college this next year fucking under your Pressure life listening about it. So I'm very a lot.

I'm a big logical thinker a lot of times an overthinker Mm-hmm. Yeah, so I'm really sure okay I'll say sorry about this accurate, but um I looked at Clashes that I was taking and what did I like and what was that good? Yeah, and so I was pretty good at calculus and physics So I went on Google. I was like what jobs can I get with calculus and physics?

So engineering So and it was engineering and I was like okay cool And then you look up engineering there's like so many different ones And I just remembered physics the little lab that you do where you connect the battery to a switch and then there's a light bulb And it's like oh cool. This is tight. There's lights. So I was like, okay, I like your engineering done And then I remember telling that to my dad and he was just like I am so proud of you No, dude.

He tried to stop me. He was like, don't do it. It's hard be a priest It's way better to be a priest and I was like what because he was trying to stop me from like doing something that he's done Because he knew how hard it was because I said trust me like this is hard like I don't know if you can do it And so you know, I only said that I knew you could do it I just wanted to make sure that you really wanted to do this. Yeah, okay So that's why I looked at it in a sense of okay engineers will make more money than a starting engineers will make more money than a Starting artist because trying to sing and something that is hard Yeah, like there's people who still do it now but performing is really hard to do or hard to make a living off of I feel Unless you have like the initial capital to buy equipment or if you have the initial capital to like book shows and whatnot I mean or the interconnections whatever so that was a big thing for me It's like yeah, you you're gonna make a lot more money and you're setting yourself up to it for a higher rate of success By choosing engineering and a bachelor's degree in engineering.

You know, I mean so that was my big driving force for not pursuing music I really thought about it for a minute. I was like yo, I like doing these shows I did like more to YouTube videos. There's a lot of people at my school who think like hey, you don't suck. All right cool Let's shit.

Let's take my friends. I'm really good. That's enough right my top eight says I'm banging So let's do this Another big driving force was I remember tongue to my dad when I was a sophomore. I was like, yeah, I really like music Like I really like it like singing that I got like oh, it's a good hobby It's a good hobby to have and it's a good thing to do every so often But you're gonna do it.

I was like yeah, right? Yeah, and then like throughout the years I always get some stuff like that and I'm like yeah, you know, I just did the show at a high school I met this girl like Tammy, you know, it's pretty good and he's just like son You're good and I think like American Idol or like the voice was on at the time He's like but you're not like that And her minerals and again like to me my dad was like up here And I was like oh Like I can play at parties. I can play a show to impress people, but I can't just on a national Yeah, I'm not gonna be on a stage doing this I'm like we ever thought about it though like not well any competitions like that I thought about it because I'd also see other friends do it and I'm like, you know what? You don't want to live your life with a regret.

I'm a part of me is also like, you know what? I don't want to be so embarrassed I don't want to be one of those people that make it on to the show because they suck that much. Oh, yeah They show you what you just like, you know, it's a no for me dog Just that one guy. Yeah, I think what really stopped me from doing those competitions was number one I didn't know where to go or the audition board.

Yeah, yeah, or they just be like stupid far like like oh come to Houston, Texas like no fuck that. I'm saying home. Yeah, dude. Okay.

I'm gonna do one of these shows Or okay, sorry like you never thought about being like so when you thought about being in music was it like being a former? Definitely it was that it was never like I want the Prince name bro like music therapy or like I never considered like You see before. No, because I it's I'm doing something now and it's hard to like before when it was just about like a girl Like oh, it's easy. It's a wrap.

This is a five minute 30 minute thing I'm about to make this song for her right now But when you try to like diversify you're like trying to do something different that you're not comfortable with it takes so long to do Like I'm making something right now And like I have like the first two lines and I'm working on it for like three months already And it's just it's hard, but it's something that I really want to do so like Try and produce music for another person. I'm not too sure I'd be able to do it just because I've never done it before yeah It's not something interesting like I like singing I like being able to perform front. Okay. Yeah Yeah, what about you guys?

Is there any telling that you guys have that you were thinking about pursuing but stop? Honestly like the whole rapping thing like not that I wanted to pursue it per se But like there was friends in high school who also kind of had the same interest me like you had a rapper and me my friend Peter you know him child to him We made me made a song. We actually recorded I still have it too. It's funny I was gonna play when he comes on but like it's a little funny because we made a song it was a rap song and like It was okay.

I think he made the beat cuz he had to make beats like the old ups. Yep for sure Yeah, it was on there and then we literally recorded on my like Apple computer Like with a little little microphone on the yeah I want it on there so sound shitty as fuck but and our lyrics at least my fire I'm lip flarms But the only reason why I didn't want to pursue it is because I realized a lot of the shit that I did Rem about was like the same thing it was always about a girl Whatever always not loves ships like no one's gonna want to bite me I mean like I would try to like round about other things but at the same time to I'm like I ain't no fuck I haven't been through shit. What am I gonna round about? Yeah, it's really hard to get up in the morning.

Yeah, like like mom didn't buy my body wash that I like No, I gotta use ice cream fun. Yeah, yeah Get about that shit. I can't do that. I can't do that and then also too.

It's like I'm sort of outgoing I guess in a way or I am very outgoing but when it comes to like forming on stage stuff like when we did take face I was fucking nervous as fuck. I remember okay. Yeah. Oh thanks I did not want to do it But that's like fucking whatever already here I gotta get up there before and then so like I guess just never see myself Being able to do that so like no I can't do that and then when I discovered like my like love for like making films Like I could do this because I'll be behind the camera.

Yeah, you're wrecking the shit, you know I'll never see me so it's cool And like I found that to be like more something that I could just do in general and then I felt you know if I ever do make it big upset Yeah, yeah, I'll do that it's hard to do cuz like during our our year sorry Chris. I don't know how I'm 25 So like during our years like YouTube was on the come up with artists. Yeah, like it was hard not to try to be a part of it I mean that's why we made YouTube videos in high school We were literally trying to like you want to be part of that. You know, I mean like you saw one fool you saw right here We actually got like Google email that's like hey, we're gonna start monetizing your videos with that way Yeah, but at that point we're in college already.

We're all separated Yeah, like I was still with one of my friends who made the videos with us like roommate It's like bro. We're just like getting monetized for a video is like sick. Yeah, we're like single-catcher like fuck We don't have anybody else in our group though. Yeah, no, she was starting a video.

Yeah, you know cool never did though Yeah, we're just too busy with school and shit. It's just like fun So like yeah, but we got ads on our videos and stuff. I think we made like 10 cents on one day So come up yeah, you like it was hard not to be part of that Especially like YouTube was really like getting there. You know me and so to touch on them when you didn't take me face Like we all did it like you that part came out though You mean like that kind of like you I'm a real you and Davey you're like alright Yeah, guys, you know like they introduced us as the headliners Yeah, and we came up stage and you guys were like if anyone wants to come up to the stage with us and wants to go I was like big-ass room and there's like there's actually people that got up from their seats came up to the front like it was An actual concert.

Yeah, it was dope. Yeah, it's pretty sick And it's one of those things where it's like yo, you like this feeling like there's a high that you get from it Where's like I do actually like you and like like I don't know if anyone knew that song But when people sing along with you with the song like the the show that I did in high school where I met Tammy my girlfriend Of nine years now next month. I did one of the songs I did was say all the way songs. Yeah, and so that year that song was like that was the song You know me and so I didn't know it when I was on stage But when I listen to the video back the whole crowd or a good portion of the crowd was singing back with me and it's like say I Like you hear them do it.

I'm like yo, this is tight I did like this is a good feeling but then you start realizing you know that feelings gonna fade if you don't keep this up You know, I mean so you have a choice you can either do school be studious get your degree Yeah, or you can just keep trying to do these types of shows. Yeah caution to the wind and for sure Yeah, and like I've made a decision. I was like yeah, like I'll do like how much I'll do small shows I'll do coffee shops every so often Yeah, but it's one of those like I'm not gonna take this any further because it's so unstable I mean like you're such a logical thing for sure like too much dude like like Like I'm right. I messaged you saying like yo, I'm thinking about doing a podcast I'm thinking about it I'm not too sure can I be on yours to try to do like a test run Yeah, yeah all that stuff It won't even if I decide to do it it won't start until next year because I'm working on something right now But I want to see how this goes really cool all for this year and so 2020 is when something would actually happen Yeah, I mean that's how like or back or how forward I will think yeah, I mean I'm planning everything yeah, I told him like hey, let's do pockets.

It's cool. I'm like alright No, it's actually forever to start up to yeah, like we were talking about it for like the longest time Like literally he came back from the Philippines like 2016 and like I was telling him like do we should like do a podcast or some shit Yeah, and then like we literally didn't start this till like 2018 so Just like you wanted to start stuff. Yeah, but like I think life happens on the daily for sure Yeah, she's like it's easy to get kind of like bro. We were both jobless at the time No, yeah, what did take us so long to start we didn't have equipment that's what I was sure yeah Because we didn't have jobs.

We didn't have money to buy equipment. We got jobs got money now We got to go yeah, but that's the hard thing to do Just trying to come up that initial capital to do whatever it is you want to do yeah It's rough plus it took us forever to come open the name We wanted to get a name that was like if we ever did get big yeah, or whatever that we could turn into like capital Yeah, I mean like we didn't want to be like oh Chris and Kyle show It's like who's gonna want to wear sure this is Chris and Kyle yeah Yeah, so like we wanted a name that could be like oh fuck we could turn that into merch or whatever like we could sell it Brandy all that shit so yeah, it's something that will always sell fairly quickly as if you find like so you're your Imblomastectory dope. Yeah, my holy made that Philippines turn that into a sticker like yeah, if you turn that into a sticker like the quality stickers of like stuff like this And actual cut stickers yeah like on positive people buy it That's always my big thing is like yo just like yeah Because I'm gonna be a business card So there is a why I want to get it because one we are going to fan me it's like to hand out So if you guys are going fan me talking nonsense there Level booth No thing it's like honestly No one does it but you the one guy there's this guy who runs a podcast talking nonsense gave me a business card It's so like dead that like and off the wall like what it's the perfect choice Hey, this is a business card. Hey, give it to me.

Hey, like hey Sell it I can't Alright Oh Now this is why we should make stickers just walk up to people hands go like Well, like your secret could be the emblem but then just like put your podcast or something on the sticker to me Because like business cards have like contact information email information Because that's like usually like I'm I work yeah I don't have a business card because I don't meet my customers But like people hand out their business cards if you want to get contact for specific reasons Which would be unlike your Instagram or whatever But yeah, if you have the podcast on the sticker, then it's like oh cool You're right. That's why I get element like I know already has run of stickers and I was like dang I wish I got it on those stickers. Yeah, I mean yeah, but yeah, so that's always something my deal We should make like stickers or something. Yeah, that's pretty fun about one I'm sure I buy one how much would you buy one how much would you pay first?

Well, like alright Max dude cuz like cuz I know that like whenever people buy stickers right like dude But then it's like if it's something that you like or if it's just something that you're down to rep Yeah, everyone's gonna be down But then if you make them the quality stickers Yeah, two dollars for a stickers pretty damn expensive or like I've seen stickers of like five dollars Yeah, I mean that's rough, but when everything else around you's like 30 bucks 20 bucks sure about like alright I'll not much dude. I'll go ahead and pay the five dollars. I'll be at the two dollars Yeah, yeah, maybe we'll probably think about it It makes the first another reason why we wanted to be like talking on sense is because I said like if we ever wanted to branch out From the podcast start doing other shit We just add nonsense to whatever we're trying to do and like if you think like if you wanted to make gaming videos and be like gaming Yeah, not since aiming or like okay, not since clothing if you want to make merch and shit, you know, yeah Yeah, so it's like a really good brand name. So it's like yeah fucking nonsense What means you want to start a podcast like what was the driving course like that so everyone's doing it?

You know, I'll bring it all the way back into the talent. I'm really good at it So like why would it I so yeah like I said before my big thing is like you'll do things that you like yeah That's kind of like I like that. You know, I mean so in terms of a podcast it looks fun. Yeah, I mean Like in terms of like my own personality.

I feel like I can do it, but it's something that I want to test I mean, which is what I'm doing now. So just trying to see okay like before you make the big investment before you do ABC XYZ yeah, are you actually capable of doing it? Yeah, I mean and so that was something where I'm like, yeah, there's a lot of things I'd like to talk about or just things that I like to talk to other people about yeah, and just you know You have like an idea of like what you would want your podcast to be like would it be something topical? Would you just oh for sure?

No, no, no, there wouldn't be talking shit too much unless we shouldn't talking shit I'm sorry. I'm gonna stick with the oh you can't shit with an exclamation point instead of the I know I just be talking and a little poop emoji I really like the exclamation point idea. You know what? Whatever.

Okay, joke didn't hit my bed But yeah, it was it was definitely something where I always see this as an opera Jorgensen on his podcast. It gives me an opportunity to talk to my friends for a few hours Yeah, it's like cool now. Let me talk to my friends about things. I want to know I mean So that's my big thing of like I'm curious to know this therefore I bring in this person who knows that things specifically Yeah, I mean and so just keep working on that and then once you what I understand what a podcast now Is that like there comes a point where kind of you're stuck?

I mean because there's a list of things you want to do and unless you continue that list you're done Yeah, it's a once you finish. It's like all right. That's it. That's all we had to switch it up to we were recording every Friday Yeah, we just ran it shit.

That was such a grind. Yeah, yeah for sure I'm like fuck what we're gonna do so then we're like we'll record every other Friday that way we had time to think of shit And then yeah, so we're still don't have shit We have a few topics lined up yeah That's what you guys do yeah like you guys sorry this like totally separate from topic now Okay, cool. Um, is that something that you guys do I remember you guys said you made like a list or whatever I think it's kind of a little bit like a delted or christen. Oh, I did yeah Yeah, he can do shit.

I just kind of come along to the ride He's just gonna come along because he makes me sound smarter because he says dumb shit No, it's not If you do your podcast like you know, so is it gonna be like do you know where you want to take it or is it just like kind of a Open-ended kind of thing because the reason why I do this podcast was I have to talk like interacting with people I'm really an introvert. So it's a good way for me to like kind of get out of that. So I just talk a lot So, you know, I just I just get someplace to where my voice could just keep going and for people to listen to me because what I have to say It's important. It's true.

Yeah, I feel it. Yeah, you know something like that I know a lot of people the driving force to do anything is like they want to get things You know, I mean I don't like that I never like that You know, I mean just because there's no reason for me to want to be famous unless you want money or there's like something You're trying to satisfy it It's just it's satisfying to curiosity if anything You mean like I want to learn about something therefore I'll talk to someone about it and that would be a podcast pretty much You look at it and it's really like yeah, it's you think of topics that people want to hear But then you try to try to see who your audience is and try to choose topics on top of that Yeah, I mean, so that's that's something we're like oh, yeah, that makes sense But only things that you're curious about that's what makes it interesting. Yeah, I mean and you can like shoot shit crack jokes in between if you Are able people doing it? Yeah, so like I feel like I can do that Kyle you do it all time.

Thank you That's a problem. I'm quick. I'm quick. Yes.

Yeah, yeah, awkward. So sorry Luigi I'm definitely leaving this party He always comes in he's a little but anyways, so yeah, yeah like one of my other talents is I'm quick with the comebacks sort of Sure, yeah, cuz we get made fun of all your life Dude, yeah, somebody pick up you have older siblings. So for sure like yeah, I'm a brother. Call me ugly all the time Yeah, you can't just keep saying you're stupid I might be true Now they're like what's hella funny to is I consider this another time to I'm really good at coming up with slogans for other places Like yeah, I started out I tweeted one of these slogans out to you specifically for Wendy's they never apply those fuckers But they should take this honestly and like pay me for it.

So trademark you heard it here first But like I don't know it's just like something that I do like hella randomly Yeah, I'll look at like a place like a don't know something just try to come up with a slogan for them for whatever We're hanging out and we're driving by Wendy's I was like Wendy's who doesn't love a red head You know, I mean like bro actually like I had gold and then like yesterday were heading to BJ's I mean don't buy hometown of a I was like home to fame It's just like home without all the work or whatever and then like BJ's not that kind Like you know like those lookers are like you can't like that's like That's like comedy central. Yeah, but I mean like this True Everything bro, who'd you come here? Anyways, but yeah, just something like that. I thought it was funny and then I came up with one for a big American They should take this one to it's really good.

I came up with it when like Trump was like running for shit anything I was like whisper that part Anyway, it's like But it's like a big of America because we're already great On the spot Fuck you want to give you a pop herbs pop herbs. Yeah, you want pop herbs? I Have no idea dude, so it's not really talent it takes time That Wait ten minutes and then I'll just edit it to feel like Hey guys, you know this Kyle before we play the video. I just wanted to say this look I finally came up with it.
