Episode 32 | Tenebrae (1982)
from The Cherry Picker Hosted by Zack Cherry
👠 This week we are delving into Zack's favorite scary movie, the now 40 year old Italian giallo, Tenebrae. This being a murder mystery slasher that is not as widely known to North American audiences, we will spend the first part of this episode discussing the plot from a non-spoiler perspective, including director Dario Argento's trademark style, the film's LGBTQ appeal, and how the meta nature of the story essentially makes this the Italian version of Scream, but with a very modern 80s vibe. If you've already seen the movie, we will delve into spoiler talk at 45 minutes, where we will discuss the diversity and inventiveness of the kills, how we perceive the "fill in the blanks" narrative and characterization, and as always, we'll choose which character we think was most deserving to die. ▶️ Watch the Video Podcast ☑️ Vote in the Cherry Picker 📷 Follow The Cherry Picker on Instagram 📷 Follow Zack on Instagram 📷 Follow Eddie on Instagram ▶️ Check out Zack's Main YouTube Channel ▶️ Check Out Eddie's Main YouTube Channel 🐦 Follow Zack on Twitter 💲 Support on Patreon Support the show
