Episode 32 Violence in Schools
from Try Not To Overthink It · host Try Not to Overthink It
Hey guys it's RJ and Unique! In today's episode we're going to be discussing Violence in Schools. I know that we have all heard at one point in time that children are our future. To prepare children for the future, we send them to school for them to learn and assist them with obtaining the things necessary at that next stage in life. Making sure that children have a learning environment that is safe and conducive for growth and development is a major priority for a multitude of agencies and organizations as well as parents. Aas we tune into the news we have been able to see that there has been a steady increase in the number of school shootings with each passing decade. In the 2020s alone there have been at least 126, with 8 occurring in March of 2023. Even though school violence is not a new phenomenon, ensuring the safety of the students in attendance remains a major concern. In today's episode we're going to have a deep, real, and honest conversation to speak Violence in Schools. Our hope is that our listeners will get something from this deep, honest, and real conversation from the viewpoint of both a Licensed Professional Counselors and a Licensed Social Worker.
