Episode 32: What's Your Name?
from The Being On Stage Podcast · host Reggie Daughson
Having a stage name makes it easy for being to connect with you after the show, it helps people find you. Using your real name could help people find you also...but in more of a creepy, stalker sort of way. A stage name is similar to a pen name for an author. It is your brand and how people will be able to remember you. When choosing your name you will want to spend some time giving it thought, don’t just pick it on a whim. Make it mean special, make it mean something. You will also do well to ensure it is easy to spell so when people try to connect with you they do not have to try 30 different version of what they think your name is. Pick a name that you will not have to change in 5-10 years.
