Sometimes bags get packed, and passports are pulled from the drawer, and one strikes out to go somewhere really special. That was me last month and I counted myself truly lucky for every incredible second. It was an adventure that was being planned right before the world faced a global crisis…so being able to finally make it happen felt like a gift, and a sign that life can carry on. The adventure allowed me a chance to look at the world through my camera lens again, all while other passions sat and waited for a while. Less books, less film, but lots and lots of food, photography, and putting a few more miles on my soul. Thanks for letting me take the break – and if you followed along with any of my feeds, thanks for coming with me! Now, though – time has come to turn my microphone on again and I’m really excited to be doing it with a passionate guest and such a fun film. You’ll be able to hear the excitement in our voices, I’m sure – part of that comes from the subject matter, but I believe part of that too comes from the fact that my guest and I now get on like old friends catching up over drinks.
