Episode 325 - The Killing of a Sacred Deer

from In The Queue - Film Conversations with Andrew and Phil · host Andrew and Phil

Is nothing sacred?  Nope, not even Bambi.  The title of Yorgos Lanthimos' captivating ode to discomfort refers to an ancient Greek myth.  But there's nothing antiquated about this brilliant, nerve-rattling modern horror.  Andrew and Phil both loved this film, perhaps a spiritual cousin to Aronofsky's mother!, but utterly unique.  The hosts of ITQ draw comparisons to Kubrick and Haneke, which bodes well for Lanthimos' future body of work!
