Episode 328 – HIT MAN

Runtime 74 minutes Show Contents 0:00 Introduction 3:12 Know Your Enemy with guest Vanya Garraway 21:50 The New Slang: HIT MAN 59:29 The Other Side: Vanya and Ryan talk further reading after Richard Linklater’s new film Thoughts from your host… It feels strange to look at the calendar and consider 2024 half-finished. Seems like just yesterday i was picking up bottles with you on New Years Day (Thanks, Taylor). And yet, here we are – Cannes already in the rearview, the solstice almost upon us. What is it about getting older that makes time fly so much faster? Maybe that’s also why it feels like just yesterday that Vanya and I first podcasted together, even thought that too was several months ago now. The woman is so much fun to talk to, and I’ve lost count of how many times she has offered to help me keep this show going since the autumn. I quote The Muppet Movie: “The don’t have a word yet / for old friends who just met” Here’s to the summer ahead – filled with sunshine, laughter, old friends, new friends, and great film!
