Once home to executions, riots, and witch trials, it’s now a paranormal hotspot packed with ghosts, legends, and cursed bar stools. Steeped in history and hauntings, the Grassmarket is where you can find spirits such as "Half-Hangit" Maggie Dickson, a woman who was executed at the gallows and LIVED to tell the tale (seriously), a mischievous ghost child named Maria who haunts the Last Drop bar and steals hot chocolate, and a pair of disembodied legs that wander through the White Hart Inn's cellar. We’re talking phantom touches, haunted beer taps, and an infamous gallows that claimed over 100 hundred lives during ‘The Killing Times’.
