Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Men’s Canadian National Team member and North Vancouver native, Derek Mayson. Mayse has had a storied career so far dating back to the Canada Games in 2001. He is a 5 time ISC All World selection, 2015 Pan Am Gold Medalist, 2015 ISF World Champion as well as a 2007 Canadian Senior Men's National Champion just to name a few. We’re going to talk to Mayse about getting his start in the game out in BC, his time with the Vancouver Grey Sox which led to a National title in 2007, being named to the Canadian National team, as well as his struggles he had mentally for a few years which has led to the formation of Locked In Mental Training which Derek successfully runs to this day.
