Episode 334: Breaking Down Red Sox Spring Breakout

The MiLB crew is back and this week Derrik, Hunter and Jake are going deep on the first-ever Spring Breakout game featuring all of the Red Sox top prospects. The guys talked about the game format, what they liked about it and what they didn’t like. They looked at Wikelman Gonzalez’s start, how Richard “Dick” Fitts and Luis Guerrero pitched in relief. So much for the Red Sox not having any pitching prospects! The guys then talked about the position players, including the superlative games for Ceddanne Rafaela and Kyle Teel, plus the extremely advanced approaches of guys like Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer despite not filling up the box score. Nick Yorke is discussed; he had a great game, and should be getting more attention. Jake waxed poetic on Chase Meidroth, Derrik had his usual Allan Castro praise, Hunter brought up Miguel Bleis’ new physique, and the guys wrapped up by guessing who will be in the Red Sox lineup in next year’s Spring Breakout game.
