Episode 335 - Our reason can get in the way of faith

Nicodemus continues to wrestle with what Jesus means by being born from above. Jesus gives room to Nicodemus, a leader of the people who does not understand how the grace is moving in his heart, transforming what he knows. Our psalm today says God is supreme and robed in majesty. And yet our reason can make God so small. We put God in a box. Don’t get me wrong, reason is a gift and it is necessary also for our spiritual journey. But the ultimate assent to the invitation from God, always has a personal element, a Fatherly touch. When we are moved like the disciples, who sell what they have and put it at the feet of the Apostles, we are seeing the Spirit of God moving amongst us like on the days of Creation.
