Episode 34: Chelsea Flores and The Story of Zafire Natural Beauty and Wellness

*Content Warning* This story contains the exploitation of minors as young as 16, in a "Student Financial Assistance" scam. Those who are sensitive to stories like this, please use your best judgement before proceeding.Chelsea Flores was a young woman living in the Philippines, when she heard about a financial assistance scam targeting young students in her area. The opportunity, Zafire Natural Beauty and Wellness, an MLM headed by a narcissistic cult-like leader, looked too good to be true. Although she was not a victim of Zafire, she knew she had to help the students get justice by telling their story on social media, hoping to get anyone's attention. In this bonus episode, we try to make sense of the scam known as Zafire Natural Beauty and Wellness. After Chelsea contacted me, I reached out to my friend Alanda Carter of the Recovering Hunbot and asked her if she would do a deep dive on the "business" and it's egomaniacal leader while I talked to the victims.
