The Bronx Defenders are actively redefining public defense by challenging the dominant narrative of save and rescue, as they root themselves in the principled and broader struggle for freedom.  This conversation unpacks the beauty of base-building in the movement to abolish carcerality and systemic violence, right relationships, and the critical connections that are our driving force in practicing new worlds.
