QUOTES: "It's called complex trauma and that's where the person has been victimized over and over and over from childhood or from teenage years or when they first started getting trafficked and they never could escape the victimization." "Your brain has something called the amygdala. It's like the heart of your brain. It's the shape of an almond. And it's, it's probably the size, maybe of an egg, maybe a little smaller, but when you have a lot of trauma, it gets enlarged and it pushes out cortisol." "I believe that God has designed in our DNA to have a father, to have a mother. And if that's imbalanced in any shape or form, we don't. We don't actually have our emotions balanced because our households are out of order, right. Households out of order. And so our brain can't form in a stable, structured manner.." "As I got older, I started acting out, like I became oversexualized and that's very common with any type of disciplinary type of upbringing and sexual abuse." "We are helping rescue all these beautiful souls from the depths and the hooks and the abuses of the traffickers." "We have trauma therapy, we have horse therapy. They learn how to cook, they have their own personal trainers, they have group therapy. The girls have a choice if they want to come to church or stay home and read a book or watch a movie - they can do that. But our whole program is holistic in healing." "I just assist in whatever way I can. A lot of it, in the time I've been married to Annie, has been as being an example of a husband that loves his wife and would die for her."
