from Everything I Learned From Movies Hosted by Everything I Learned From Movies | Age Of Radio
Steve & Izzy continue the best time of year Nic-August Cage, a celebration of the movies of the greatest living actor Nicolas Cage, as they are joined by Wes of the Via VHS Podcast to discuss 1993's "Amos & Andrew" starring Nicolas Cage, Samuel L. Jackson, Dabney Doleman, Brad Dourif & that guy who looks like Roger Ebert (Michael Lerner)!!! How does the use of blackface in this movie age nearly 30 years later? Is it better than how the title aged? Is this movie more an expose on race in America... or police incompetence? How poignant is it to this day? Did these guys really both get Academy Awards within two years of this movie?!? Let's find out!!! So kick back, grab a few brews, reconsider moving to an island, and enjoy!!!
