Episode 35: 035 // Interview with Jordan Bruce: epic murals and collaboration

from Art + Business + Murals · host Sarah Sculley

Today I am speaking with Jordan Bruce from The Brightsiders. Jordan is a Brisbane mased muralist and contemporary artist. He is driven to participate and add to the visual landscape of public space. The immediacy and impact of graffiti on the urban environment had a formative impression on his way of seeing and engaging in art. From this platform Jordan moved into painting murals, co-founding Brightsiders and creating large scale artworks across the country.  Jordan’s personal art practice runs in tandem to his mural work, a feedback loop of experiences, technique and inspiration. Jordan is drawn to the detail of colour and texture, light and shadow in nature, observing and reflecting this through his work.   In this interview we talk about life balance, the ebs and flows of work, diversification and painting silos.   If you’d like to check out Jordan’s work:Website // www.brightsiders.com.auInstagram // https://www.instagram.com/jordanbruceartFacebook // https://www.facebook.com/Brightsidersau ——— Thank you so much for tuning into the Art + Business + Murals PodcastIf you’d like to say ‘hi’ to me, or if you have any podcast topic ideas or artists you’d like me to interview, please email: [email protected] Please follow along:Instagram // https://www.instagram.com/sculleydesign/Facebook // https://www.facebook.com/sculleydesignYou Tube // https://www.youtube.com/@SarahSculley/videosWebsite // https://www.sculleydesign.comFeel free to give this podcast a star rating and ‘follow’ so you are notified when new episodes come out each Monday.
