From just a few months old, she could be found splashing around at the local YWCA swimming pool, still in diapers. Throughout the years, Joi was competitive in a range of sports and, as a collegiate swimmer, was awarded All-American status in her freshman year. With no prior experience, Joi was eventually awarded a full athletic scholarship to play water polo in a new Division 1 program at California State University of Northridge (CSUN).  Formerly employed at the historic Expo Center, site of the 1932 Olympic games, Joi has always impressed upon her community the importance of physical activity as a part of daily lifestyle. She has both studied and taught about the human body extensively including a stint as a middle school health teacher in 2006-07. Early on, she set her sights on one day having her own fitness and health facility and in the spring of 2014, her hard work, dedication and ceaseless prayers paid off when she opened her first studio in South Los Angeles, not far from the neighborhood where she grew up. Joi's philosophy on fitness is that exercise is a way to celebrate our bodies, not to punish them. To advance this message, she takes special care when developing programs for her clients, many of whom have been with her since the beginning of her personal training career. In a session with Joi, you can expect to improve not only the physical aspects of your health but also the mental and spiritual as this is not just her career, this is her God-given gift and her ministry.  Website: <a href= "http://www.eatsleepsweat.com">www.eatsleepsweat.com  Twitter: eat_sleep_sweat IG: eat_sleep_sweat       <div id="comp-ifhkviq1" class="s5" data-reactid= ".0.$SITE_ROOT.$desktop_siteRoot.$PAGES_CONTAINER.1.1.$SITE_PAGES.$c13ay.1.$comp-ifhkviq1">   <div id="comp-ij0w3kgi" class="s9" data-reactid= ".0.$SITE_ROOT.$desktop_siteRoot.$comp-ij0w3kgi">
