Jonathan Lillie and his brother Jamie are in charge of the Lillie family generation business called Fox and Lillie. Fox and Lillie started in 1948 in the Wool industry, a good year to start a wool-based business in the lead-up period to what was known as the 1950s Wool boom.Fox and Lillie is a great Australian Agricultural success story as they have stood the test of time and have constantly pivoted their business with good management decisions that have allowed it to diversify. Fox and Lillie is 100 per cent owned by the Lillie Family and now boasts a $250 million turnover Wool, Livestock and Property business, which runs alongside a $150 million turnover Aquaculture business. Yes, you heard it right, Aquaculture. They went into the industry blind, but quickly learnt how it all works. And it might be a case of them coming into an industry with no preconceived notions, only to see things that others might not have seen. It's one of those entrepreneurial Agribusiness stories that needs to be told and celebrated.
