Episode 35: Juan Santiago

Juan Santiago is the Co-Director @Gambrelgallery and local artist in Ashland  He is in the art and design business working for himself as a principal artist with ceramics as a primary medium. Juan was previously a lecturer at SOU in the Art department. Since then, he has had a rich studio practice continuing what he started with his students which is harvesting natural/wild clays all round Ashland and beyond!  He has a love for the Oregon landscape as well as a renewed studio practice that allows him to romp around and immerse himself in nature. Juan loves all the food and all the animals here, as well as the hiking and water features in this area, including Jackson Well Springs. He has lived, worked and played in Southern Oregon since 2019!
