Fillingim, PhD is a Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean of Planning & Institutional Effectiveness in the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is also the Director of the University of Florida Pain Research & Intervention Center of Excellence. His research investigates biological and psychosocial contributions to individual differences in pain and its treatment. Dr. Fillingim’s research has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health since 1994, including a current MERIT award from the National Institute on Aging.
