Episode 35 - Taboo AF

In today’s episode, Rosie speaks to Nicky Wake, an entrepreneur, about the horrific injury that left her husband brain damaged, and the Covid he contracted in a nursing home, ultimately ending his life.  After Andy died Nicky tentatively  dipped her toe into the dating world and was underwhelmed and disheartened by what she found. So, being a woman who makes things happen, she launched an app just for Widows called Chapter 2 Dating. Subsequently Nicky realised that  there was a gap in the market for more fleeting encounters, or ‘delicious distractions ’ as she calls them, and created a new ‘hook-up’ app, Widow’s Fire.
