Episode 35 - With Nicole and Benjamin Perry

In the first Mother/Son podcast episode, I am joined by Nicole and Benjamin Perry, Nicole talks about the ups and downs of hospital life as well as the 22 months wait for Benjamin's HD diagnosis. Benjamin and I discuss the differences between life as an HD child, 20 years apart, and how his experiences differ from mine, he will also talk about his own advocacy journey and how he's determined to help other in his position. Nicole is also part of the REACH HD board, and has been since 2018, we will chat about her role as the main fundraiser, as well as how helpful the board were to her through her sons initial diagnosis and treatment.
