That was huge.
So it's the only thing about about a birthday is a birthday the day after the Birthday become a schlub just like everyone else for one for a couple of hours. I'm just a schlub But 50 year old slub I forgot about that part, but I don't put them on blast a couple hours you walk around and it feels like nothing You can do is wrong. Yeah, cock of the walk. I went to the museum of science technology Oh, yeah, tell us all about it.
There was a piss peach on there. Nice. No that you used no They had this thing about how you can tell us all is hydration based on the color of the urine They had a replica of you know one of those beakers It's a bulbous at the end of the cones out mm-hmm filled with this yellow thing and like it was the first Canadian pistol I'd say and the crazy kitchen and the room of silence. Not the worst.
You've been to that one. No, have you been it Simon? Silence. Yes.
Yeah, I am and it gets a little creepy. Did you know the big building there in the front of it? Yeah, it's like imaginary em or something. Yeah, it's like a Shopify.
Is that what that is? Yeah, it's got nothing to do with my birthday Great time Simon. I'm not sure if you remember what leaving last week. I said to come I was like hey, it's your birthday on Monday.
You should maybe want to come to this show on Tuesday and Kumar was He seemed he seemed into it. He seemed like he was like maybe I will hit up our mutual friends See if they can get me in as well. I showed interest he showed interest I call him Tuesday because that friend was like I have you with a plus one. No way.
Yeah, so I was like oh, that's so kind of you I have no friends. Who am I gonna bring? So you guys went to the show like called Kumar I was like Kumar said he was interested in going. I'll just call him it's his birthday You know, I'll bring Kumar.
I'm like come on. You want to go to the show and he was like what show? I was like big X the plug and he was like oh I showed interest in that didn't I? Said yeah, you did show just that he goes.
Yeah, I have no interest in that. I'm so sorry I'm so sorry zero interest in doing that. I was like, oh, that's cool. I said I'm not the person today Yeah, I'm not the same person.
Yeah, different guys. You know what I'm glad because it was mexin OT Mexican OT Yeah, then I'd really have wrestled with it. They probably a song with him, but he wasn't there I don't think so. No big exit plug look like he was healthy.
I mean, he's like 26. He was around pretty good. Okay Graham and I made that joke to we're like magic this guy lost all the weight in like the next couple years was pushing like cold plunges became like Little X the plug or something what they do this. This is now the path.
I don't know if we've ever talked about this before, but Did you see jelly roll and is like fighting Logan Paul on WWE? Sounds pretty serious They're doing like promos together Comes out like jelly roll. You're a terrible singer and you're fat and you care about it and you Jelly roll was poised to become a huge fucking suit if not already He's pretty big. He was making tons of cash.
I'm sure he doesn't need to do this like he does it But as we know his get that bad king I was watching so angry yelling at the screen I'm not sure what the propaganda is, but I'm not sure if prime is thriving or diving They're almost bankrupt. Yeah, I'm probably gone. Oh no prime the drink. No, you probably got in the wrong time of Logan Paul though That's crazy because it's funny.
I went to the store yesterday Just the gas station on the street. We're just walking and I was like I want to grab a coke we go in and now that they have beer and wine That's taken up like a massive chunk of real estate And so I was looking at like the options and I was like it's so interesting like I wonder what they pushed out And I'm like they had so many prime options like a ton of prime options a ton and then they only had like Coke and Diet Coke And I was like that's so weird I was like Coke is still one of the biggest but that's other things one of the problems of the company had aside from whatever is too many options They don't have a base that falls in love the flavor or something about it was all hype as we do also We had all messy made like a competing drink that moss plus you've seen that where he's literally it's prime But just highly and I'll messy and but if you think about it forever Gatorade was orange Yeah, like before we get a scoop and stuff orange and green those were the two options I mean you also just brought up a better point Gatorade is actually a beverage that will help you if you're working out prime is not No, it's actually the opposite prime is like eating eight bananas where as Gatorade is like actually You probably won't remember cuz you're just a little too young, but do you remember Gatorade dumb? Oh dude, it had the weirdest flavor I loved it But it had this like really unique flavor like if you put five pieces of gum in front of me and told me to chew and tell you I could tell you right away which one was Gatorade clearly just continued it not successful. No.
Yeah, but it was wrong for what anything Successful we still have like a crispy crunch. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, no cuz we still have on the cherry blossom still exists I've never seen anyone purchase a cherry blossom in my life.
Very interesting. I'm a sort of me Are you like those were made? I feel like cherry blossoms are shy off The cherry blossom really is actually 400 years old. It might be because microchips Anybody stupid enough to buy enough anybody stupid enough to buy a cherry blossom won't notice that they're being internally tracked by the FBI Well, I'm just thinking like I've never even seen a drunk person grab a cherry blossom Like you know what I mean?
Like the drunken mind will be like give me four bounties in a I think they're counting on like European nannies who moved here in like the 80s 72 years old like what's another one that sits there where you're like no one's buying bounty not a lot of people buy No, you're right. No, you guys raved about No, no, but Simon, you're right like as much as I sit there and say like I will eat a bounty happily I haven't bought a bounty in like 10 years like my wife is probably keeping eat more in business at this point Are you kidding me nobody gets to hear me? It looks like a fucking disgusting word, but Simon again. I will do I will it's very true Yeah, I will think about more but like you said I can't see myself behind one right now No, nobody buys them except my wife like I buy Snickers.
Oh, Henry's score. I think that's it. What a man Score is really gross. Well, I think where is only a Canadian thing I do it's that you eat twix.
I like twix. I like you like a taller Cat coffee Christmas for a real man. I mean I'll eat a coffee Christmas. There's nothing else but you won't catch me buying one in a store Fuck off you Chris fuck arrow.
Fuck smart. No, I'll eat an arrow arrows just chocolate I don't know what repels you so much about chocolate. I like more with chocolate. Anyway, let's do what we actually do here That's how bad it is and you tell me what's wrong with it.
It's got a cherry It's a dome-shaped chocolate with a liquid cherry says my cherry sir roasted peanuts and coconut like do I remember the 80 90s? Oh, that makes so much like do you like the comment? No, yeah, neither. I will not eat the fucking jizz eggs.
Oh No, the Cadbury that's that's the bottom of the Cadbury shizz eggs Cream of young some young guy eggs Mark we go to the guests we do here Fraser then we had 2361 Graham line-hand. Yeah, that's right. You that's right folks. You haven't heard of any of these people Barbos maybe him and then we first off the week with probably 2363 David Kipping.
He says there's nobody out there Like I don't even know if you know he was on this week. That's that could be true. All right, let's start it up I don't we gotta rate it. I can't wait another second.
I give it a two and that's the most it's a very generous, too um Based on the first guest this week. I thought oh my god He's actually doing it having interesting people on and then that episode stank and I just knew from then on out Wasn't gonna be good. I give it a three. I give it a 1.75 perfect.
Let's start it off with a leaded gas lady. Oh Yeah, okay, right on. Thank you. You're welcome.
Come on 2360 Caroline Fraser But this explains a lot if true. There's a lot more lead in everything making people dumb No, I agree But did it feel like she didn't come with enough receipts or you have to read the book you can just all the stories No, no, no, I'm just like a Joe was focused in on the wrong thing Okay, you don't care like I get it the fact that they were around these smelt plants. Yeah, very interesting I like the correlation. Yeah, now let's talk about serial killers You know what I mean?
There was too much focus on the smelting and not enough focus on the killing like if you want to talk about something interesting And she alluded to it for one second and then totally glazed over it Well, I thought there was a you're gonna miss my amazing point if I keep going and you're not at the table In and around whatever area she was talking about Toledo wherever the fuck There were five six seven serial killers all operating at the same time not as Or they had lived or grown up there was the deal I think that happens more often than not where we think of these guys as these lone gunmen these lone wolves But they can be part of a group as well. There's a common thread like did you ever watch the Sons of Sam documentary there. Yeah, where they think it's more than one It's a whole network of guys and then when you look at some of their like The letters they write and then they're alluding to like something that you didn't understand and then you're like Oh shit if you look at it that way, they did it on that show Anyway, so I I imagine that was the case that these guys were probably in chat rooms together and then you meet and then I don't know I'm gonna be out killing in your neck of the woods And I think they might have all I don't I don't mean chat rooms I mean whatever, you know what I mean? I think you're trying to interject a story here.
That's more people from a certain time a Dumb or made bad decisions Because of lead their life Including he wants to talk about the wrong thing to Including policy But I know once you can point out is that Ted Bundy and this is just another thing You know if someone wants to be president or to be president someone wants to be a priest I'm gonna be a priest Ted Bundy was working in a rape clinic away clinic a sexual sock clinic So I fucked up this episode cut will start again in any event the people tend to figure out how to get close to and I thought she was a little bit callous at times talking about some crimes she was actually laughing then Because she was just a outside serial killer Professional or whatever they're called Right like a series another podcast. Yeah, I think that's what's your killers. So whatever that is the True crime serial is not about serial killers. I don't know anything, but it's a no serial killers is about the um serial is about serial is about the Case of Adnan whatever who is that high school student who is accused of killing his girlfriend?
You've it's so good man Like it really is a great story he ends up going to jail and then I think he gets released him and goes back to you Anyways, it's a after the podcast or during this podcast this happens Well, the podcast is about the whole thing happened the whole thing is the podcast. I think forces a Re look at the case for him. Oh, it's like one of the first times not something He was very interested. She's a person who loves cats.
Is that what I meant to say? She's one of those online So she was she her lane was the serial killers and then she happened upon like all great things happen that wow Smelter here smelted there a lot of lead lead paint But that would affect these guys to commit these horrible crimes Wouldn't it then mean that when they got rid of the lead it would get rid of the serial killers, which well? We have very few serial killers. Are you kidding good point?
Well compared comparatively. I mean we have way more I bet you all first off with with surveillance and the internet I have a tough time believing that I bet you I bet you I bet you Pinker number pinker styles. There are more serial killers every year than the year Pinker would say the opposite the pinker effect is that there's less serial killers now Okay, okay. Well, do you feel Jack the rippers falling off the radar?
Well, I mean they never caught the guy when you're in school. You knew about Jack the Ripper sure I mean I got really folklore. Yeah, but I swear when I was a kid. There's always Jack the Ripper Oh, I lied up to the royal family or this or that there's no evidence But it was held much like Billy the kid as just as legend That you seem if you found it but in the 80s or if I find out about an 80s Well, this thing lives long enough will always be but I don't know Billy the kid I don't know who that is.
What's the answer Simon? Billy the kid what's the answer Simon? I've seen it's fine Don't worry about it. They still going on about this Jack the Ripper guy Yes, you prove the whole thing, but I don't like this too.
There's a there's a weird chance now historically This isn't how humans are so I don't think this I don't think this is how it plays out But like we could be still affected by the lead from our parents or even us because we lived in a leaded gasoline here What are the decisions that made the things they believe you know what I mean like one generation after like the next generation might Have no they might be free of lead and make like just way better decisions or be way less violent I shoot on a lot of lead pencils. That's a fact Well, there you go. There's not the same kind of lead or it's an excuse for my serial killing Yeah, and just how easy can you get about it this time and how easy it was to be a serial killer? Yeah, when you can forge checks you can actually make money.
There's no cameras You can steal a car change license plates and it might take 30 years or so to do it together We just you could be some fucking Joe Schmell off the street and catch me if you can you're way into No, like this this is just a different time So I was thinking about credit cards think about like so back in the day if you had a $1,000 limit You could technically if I get this correct just spend a hundred thousand dollars on that credit card in one day, right? They're just doing the fucking thing right and then how do they know? What do you mean if you go right now? Card so right now right now if I go use my credit card I use it up to a thousand dollars if my limits a thousand eventually the credit goes well You don't have any more money, so you'll pay that and then you keep going Where's back then like I said it was just a carbon copy thing that was just fucking You could do that with could you not just do that?
Kids we go to the gas station. There's two one and I'll just buy all the cards and cigarettes So I'm saying maybe next week they'll send it in to find out it's a fraudulent But I swear to god there's stories of people writing fake checks to get on planes. Yeah Just about the type of ID and the security clearance you have now anyways Well, we're gonna go easy. It was me for me to sneak a knife into blues fest Exactly, so it was definitely easier to be a serial killer in this time as well No, he was right Matt in his statement that it was easier to be a serial killer back in the 70s than it was today I I was wrong for many reasons for many reasons a big man can admit when he was wrong and I was wrong Well, I just think in general, too There's we're not as violent as society.
I know that's that's the pinker like you brought up pink No, again, you brought up pinker. I think we are more violent society Well, the numbers say probably we're not well. What are you what kind of violence are you talking about? Well, you were just like violent crime stats.
Are they constantly going up or are they constantly going down? I mean, I just zoomed they're going up again. You can pull it up. I think they're going down really?
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense Well, okay, again If you zoom out right like there's peaks and valleys like you might have one you might have a couple months in the year Where you're like oh crime has gone up but overall year-to-year we're down Really? Even with all the like homelessness and the drug here. Okay. So here's another thing though This goes back to like that.
It's hard to believe this goes back to that season of the wire where it's like, you know, are they juking numbers? Who? Whoever doesn't know well. Yeah, cuz like do you remember that season?
The wire whole idea was like we could write his own bodies in the McNulty. Well, no, no, no So we're talking before that this is like the hamster damn season where the idea was like All these guys were cooking the numbers so they would have to go and sit in front of the calm stat guy And they'd have to give their stats we had 82 break ins this year whatever whatever whatever and he was like I'm gonna give him the wrong numbers. We're not gonna cook them at all We're just gonna tell and then he started policing a different way But the point is like it's just like an accounting like let's say, you know, let's say we were throwing a music festival the three of us And we didn't want to pay our fourth fucking guy. We have a money guy that gave us five million dollars We just we just do some sweet accounting where it's like, oh, well, we had to pay come our five hundred thousand dollars for his job We had to pay five and five hundred thousand dollars.
I had to get paid five hundred thousand dollars and no money left You know what I mean like it's all just accounting and numbers So I don't know maybe that maybe right time because no money left for what's his name No, but you're listen if you walk the streets of Ottawa, you would you would think there's a lot more like homeless people who are probably committing a lot More crime, right? I would think there's more crime I would too, but it's also how many people like if your bike gets stolen how many people are reporting Like you the other night had a guy sleep on your porch and you're like, I'd rather just go potentially fight this guy than call the cops Right, so how many people are doing that and how much crime is going unreported? That's another thing too That's a missed opportunity if they turn that to take a bike leave a bike That'd be nice Take it sell it and get crack By this bike and I was like it's obviously stolen. He's like what what did he look all right?
No, I knew this guy very well But I was like I was like I need a bike So I was like I'll buy it for 15 bucks for sure done And he was like sweet. I'm gonna go buy some weed done I rode that bike for like a couple months and then one night I come home so drunk I fall asleep I go to work the next day and I'm late for work I go on stairs to my bike's been stolen and I'm like, you know, it's probably karma because like I bought a stolen bike That's life I walk down the street and I'm waiting for the TTC and I look across the street at the fucking quickie and my bike is just sitting there I'm like I just left it at the quickie last night wasted I just hopped on it and took off but then two nights later it did get stolen and it was stolen by my buddy Oh my god. I saw him like I saw him three nights later and he's I'm like dude. You're riding my bike He's like oh bro.
I'm like I'm like you stole it and sold it to me. He's like oh, I'm so sorry Have you guys seen those videos where they like put a bike out to be stolen and tie it to a tree or whatever So when he tries to drive away it jerks and he goes flying the thief. Have you seen the penetrator? No, I saw one where they put a airbag in the seat and they all that's great and they explode it as he's driving away What's the penetrator may I ask so this guy?
It's like a BMX bike and the seat Goes down like six inches because there's a hole in the seat and this peg just goes up your anus and dude He has video of so many people stealing a bike And Simon the video the best of the boys over the guy's like Dude he gets a lot of people and it looks fun like this one guy he looks like he gets seven inches Every day Lord's prayer don't see like no one should have to do that, but we do um one of the things that is a threat through this though is again It's corporations. They're polluting and harming the public in the uh The sake of progress and jobs and so these serial killers is just a cost to do a business Yeah, but you're okay with that. I wonder who's no you are okay with this. Who's your favorite serial killer?
I don't know many of them. I'm not a big true. I don't like the serial killer shit I think it fucking bums me up to your fat person if you have a favorite. Let's go with Eileen Uh-huh the worst Obviously the Unibomber is here.
No. Come on. That's where That's rude. Why is that rude?
He's like Hitler is he a serial killer because he's my favorite Well, no because it's easy. That's it because it's no. He's not a serial killer. Uh to the base.
Yes. You're coming No, you don't like a hundred people. No, it's not the okay. You know those are terrorist attacks.
You don't want to play this game. It's fine or give me Yes, and I'll pick Simon what's crazy to me is how many What you realize quickly is it's not even about body count It's like because like some of these guys killed like eight or ten people and they're somehow more well known than a dude that you've never heard Of whether like this guy might have killed 85 No, it was just that for that period of time Like there wasn't a lot of entertainment, right? So these things became sensationalized and they became part of our history and Also, there's an assumption on everyone's part or maybe there's just my assumption that anyone does this for some reason is super super intelligent Serial killers. Yes.
No, I think it's 50-50. I think some of them are really smart. Some of them are just absolutely the dumbest people in truth But you know why come on? Because like who are the talents of the lambs?
That's why we think that But it was even smart But it was Buffalo Bill actual serial killer. Oh mustache. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Like he was super singular the BTK BTK stands for buying Thai killer I can't remember what it was. But yeah, he was super smart. Was he not? No, buying them tire the same thing.
There was well, he wasn't that smart? No, it wasn't that smart was he? I thought he was pretty smart. Maybe I'm wrong.
There was uh, dude I've read about this fucking serial killer in Chicago. They think this guy killed like I think it was in the 90s 90 people. Yeah, dude. They found like I think they found 26 decaying bodies in his basement Oh, yeah.
Yeah. And what's crazy is neighbors for like months were complaining about the smell. This guy was beside a corner store. Was that like Ohio or something?
I thought it was in I thought it was in Chicago Yeah, I could be wrong. Uh, maybe Ohio. That sounds about right too. Um, yeah, dude.
All the neighbors were complaining that they were like That happened to Bundy too. Remember? That was like a whole thing. He had Pinter S decomposing it and then Dommar, Dommar, Dommar, Dommar.
What did I say? Dommar had his neighbor kept complaining about the smell. Yeah, no No, this was like the whole neighborhood was complaining about the smell. That's how bad it was and they kept blaming it on They were like this Arab family that runs the the corner store.
They were like it's the corner store. That's what happened to Dommar too They blamed it on the that's because the Milwaukee police were Chinese food place or whatever I mean, it's weird when they were doing it. They're like we've seen multiple gay men running out of this house slippery and and crying like A couple complaints. Whatever.
And we shouldn't be so quick to not look at our own front door with the eye. Jeffrey Dommar. And then we had uh, uh, Halbernardo Bernardo Bernardo super big ed with pig firmer guy and that and uh, most recent on uh in Toronto No, no, no the one from Montreal who can make not who can make not uh, that was a whole fucking thing Well, don't forget to Thunder Bay has like I'm pretty sure it's like a native girl goes missing every week Yeah, I did. Yeah, what is that one called murder land the same as this woman's book There was the Cleveland strike might be it's definitely something land, right?
Yeah, but no that was a great one. Yeah, like Thunder Bay has a serious problem with people by missing all of them are native american. There's also Donald Harvey the angel of death and that was always a nurse I don't know. I don't know who my favorite serial killer is There's a lot of them.
He was joking. It's a shit question. It's a shit. You're not a woman.
You don't have a favorite you trap me But I just also the policies of the time the decisions people made you could believe people got on the moon Mind controls by a lot easier in the lead lead days Well, I think the ironic thing is like with no internet, um, they could just dupe you so easily Dupe you so easy and everyone was so dupeable and you could pay you pay off one expert He's like, yeah, yeah, this isn't gonna hurt anyone. Yeah. Yeah, exactly Next thing, you know for the next 40 years because no one's gonna look into it, right? So I would say this woman, you know where they threw out a lot in this podcast with uh lead with um Caroline Fraser correlation The correlation was brought up a lot And I think she may have stumbled on something, but it's not really revealing anything And I think well, hold on correlation does not equal causation But the graph that they showed of when they started putting lead and gasoline and the incidence Yeah, I mean that when you line up two graphs like that and they and they correlate perfectly That's where you can start to point it causation, but whatever I just said the word was used a lot it was probably used correctly But I meant in this case that so that's how that happened Let's not put lead and stuff again.
Do you know what I mean? Going to snap shot of history and giving a possible explanation I don't even know if you get to fall on top see all those guys are finding higher levels of lead Maybe that's an idea for a podcast who knows but sort of you know, how about that and open and shut case for her Unless it leads to malicious intent from the corporations that put these well nothing. No, this is the thing Nothing will ever come of what she's saying There's not that's I think when no one's getting money from massive corporations Because they killed because they use lead like you're never gonna get from A to B Anyway, the court of law in the US and there and why this book might come up disappointing to someone Someone said it felt like she left something out or something The craziest thing to me was dude I was like I was an hour into this and I was like I I was like I have to put this on two times because this is just gonna take me forever And then I realized I was on two times this woman spoke at a fucking snail's pace Like it was insane because her her pace on two times was very normal very normal This must have been a brutal podcast if you just listen to it like regular time Oh regular time and shoot me in the face time. Oh, no, there is only two time There is only two time but um If you are a person who doesn't want people to fuck with cats It's maybe interesting.
It may be interesting But like it's just yesterday's news. Am I wrong? Am I wrong? I mean her theory is interesting this Lead poisoning and but did you check out when I say it also would be interesting how pliable the whole public was at this time?
I think the problem I have with it is her Pepe Silvia board is just We know leds bad. These people live near led these people were serial killers I just wanted to and again maybe your decisions were made Maybe you're right that like maybe there's more in the book But I just like she didn't do a great job not the best job in my opinion of like I don't know We're tying it together. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. No it would have been better if they don't like work at a Smeltering plant or something. I mean it's still damning like listen I we've said this forever that it probably was not a good time when lead was in gas The air corporations doing it.
Yeah corporate greed. Yeah corporate greed But you're for that you want to get rid of this. You want to get rid of regulation You want to let these guys fucking drill and yeah, maybe pay to have the people move before they get the lead pushing Put lead paint and the baby food for all fucking tomorrow cares That's gonna get us where we need got to go obvious. I don't think that but I don't know.
I just it was a nothing burger for me need more more kittens. We found out this week too late I mean if I had too late. I watched this thing on a place called lad ring gunada. I think that's what's called It's the highest human settlement on earth It's in peru and it's only there because there's a diamond mine there or gold mine there Sorry And so because there's this gold mine there all these people started going up there and living And it's basically an illegal gold mine and so there's no infrastructure like they just have a garbage dump up there where it's just like Garbage as far as the eye can see no one's ever gonna clean it up They use the super old mining technique that uses mercury so all the lakes around for like hundreds of miles have mercury in them This isn't Peru.
This doesn't sound very peruvian at all. This isn't Peru This place is also one of those dangerous places on earth because it's basically lawless and this is what's crazy So there's only one company that's allowed to mine there and the way they run their company is this is insane if you go mine there You work 28 days without pay and on the 29th day whatever you can carry on your back You can walk out with but all you're carrying is or so you don't know if there's even gold in it And all the miners are like on that 29th day. They usually send us out to places where they know there's no fucking gold So we're just carrying out rocks and they're working with mercury Oh, yeah, dude, it's like one of the it's like one of the unsafest places to work on earth And again, this is all just because it's so this diamond or so this gold company can make tons of fucking cash And they sell their gold to who apple and samsung and all these other fucking corporations So we're all we're all complicit in a way, but it's like without this is why regulation and again I'm not saying over regulate stuff. I hate government red tape We should make things a little easier to get done But this is why regulation is important because like they took this beautiful place in the mountains And they've absolutely destroyed all the surrounding area.
It's a fucking garbage dump and they're not even paying people It's like a big human rights violation. You should look you should look it up on youtube. It's dude. It's one of those violent places on earth It's crazy as fuck.
It's nuts. I've been working 28 days in the mine not to get paid And then what happens on the 30th day? I told you on the 30th day you go to work again But this time you get to leave with however much so what happens on the 31st day? No, that's back.
You're back to day one and you go back. Oh, so you never get paid You only get paid every 30th day when you pull yeah They do think differently improve so cultural thing. What's other america is crazy And then I'm tain Well, dude, what's crazy is this place is so high up like the guy I watched the I watched this video If I kind of went there and spent like a couple days there and like the first day there He's got one of those oxygen meters on his hand on his finger because you're dude You're like it's like 8,000 meters up the settlement and he's like seven He's like seven 70 percent blood oxygen is like critical and he's like I'm at 74 right now And they're just walking around normally. Yeah, everyone everybody interviews all the miners you interviews They're like when you first get here if you're not a climatize like the first couple days or he's like the roughest They're like working as impossible, but they're like, you know, but if they go down to a lower Altitude they feel great.
No, probably I mean keep a mind. Come on. He's puts the thing on all of their fingers. Most of them are like 90 They're getting almost what we're getting down here.
They don't even notice It's very interesting. And that's why like the Nepalese Sherpas Yeah, yeah, those guys are born up there because they that guy climbed 14 mountains in like eight months Yeah, what was his name? Nim Nim, see how that was it. Simon, you with names.
Thanks, buddy You know the nationality of the first person to climb On Everest. Well, okay, they're gonna lie. Do you want to see him? He's a british man, wasn't he?
No, he's from New Zealand. Sir Edmund Hillary. I thought he was british. No, okay And nor gate tensing who probably climbed them out in eight times before whatever.
That was his Sherpa Yeah, well, you know his name who lived up there But I saw this thing where this guy lost his feet trying to climb you saw that the guy gets like Oscar Pistorius but Climbing cleats, okay He's two sticks on his stubs that just climb and I guess they walk past the guy that passed out and couldn't help him And there was a bunch of guys on the thing, but he got sickles the guy with no legs didn't help this guy You don't have enough energy to help you. No, no, no, I get it. I remember nims telling the whole story Well, could they say like eight people while they were doing it to don't forget? Yeah, yeah Fucking nuts insane No, this episode could have been way better if they had like I said delved into some like specific cases What is your favorite serial killer movie?
Oh, he's all just feel like smokescreen episodes. What is your favorite serial killer movie? What I mean silence of the lambs I mean, that's a great one for sure. What is my favorite serial killer movie copycat?
signs of lambs seven Oh seven is fucking great seven is probably yeah, seven is a hundred percent of people. Yeah, yeah, yeah, hold on I'm gonna pull up serial killer movies and we'll see California with the K Um natural born killers over the top serial killer. You're correct. Yeah, I know we're not gonna say John Wick But he's definitely serial killer John wick.
Is this you? Interesting How like if you're a hitman if you're paid to kill people you're officially out of the serial killer game or if you're in the army American psycho That's a great one. Sodiak I See that's a horror movie. I guess I guess the killer is sneaky get away with it and continue to function Yeah, because every horror movie is a serial killer movies.
It's not some say so. Yeah, like they're all serial killers Yeah, okay, so we take horror movies out in my opinion. I think seven is my favorite. Yeah, seven is pretty fucking good Like I like seven islands of the lambs is the best one.
I think that's but right now if you ask the first one But right now if you ask a man hunter which one would you rather watch right now? I'd rather watch seven than silence of the lambs and what about angel heart? I don't remember that one. You haven't seen anything that's one of my favorite.
Oh, that movie fucking stinks um Simon I felt like I feel like if we all sat down and watched sounds of the lands right now We would laugh more than oh really well, but the Buffalo Bill characters hilarious Like it puts the lotion in the basket I'm saying like I have a feeling that the three of us if we watched it right now would laugh a great deal I'm not like to be mean. It's a great movie, but it won fucking the Academy Award for best picture Um did you hear that Simon? Yeah, I did what did I say it won the best picture and I thought down we would write seven more than I think we would like them equally. They're totally different movies.
Well, they are yes. That's how film works. They are different movies A mob movies are serial killers. No, we decided that they'll hit men don't count.
Yeah, he can't do that. That's it That's it. We're done. Yeah, okay.
I rated a fucking two 1.75. Oh, there we go. Actually, I'll give it a two. Oh, wow.
Okay. We have an agreement Someone's pump faking me. My name and number Oh, Barbosa. Okay.
Hey 22 Ralph Barbosa. Now, you know me and these guys Spanish people no a comedian that he doesn't feel as paid as dude. We're not sure we're not sure But he's found his voice because he's only been in comedy for six years. And that that's what really bothers you.
It doesn't bother It bothers you. No, it doesn't bother me in the eyes. Does it bother you? It doesn't bother me I just wonder if it will affect him in that he got too successful too fast.
It doesn't bother me I just wonder if it'll affect him when I see his comedy live and hate it and and yell from the crowd Amateur, but why is he 28 And doing seven dates this year and burt christians 58 and he's doing nobody on 50 for whatever it is Doing uh, 60 dates. I think he's gone the next Netflix hulu money And he's like, I don't even care that much about this Barbosa. I think But seven dates is a weird thing like if he's still performing every night at his local comedy club, what does it matter? Doesn't know he said he's right as block and he's doing a lot of crowd work But I knew all that was that when he started talking about crowd work.
I was like, oh, come on I was gonna fucking hate this what you have to do No, but I'd be bummed too If I'm like it's one thing if you're at like a club and there's a bunch of comedians going on and this guy does a lot of But if you go to this guy show and like it's an hour long and 45 minutes is crowd work I'm bummed like I came there to see you the jokes you've worked on to have this show Like who's your boyfriend Montreal that always plays in Ottawa that does nothing but crowd work That joy lies But uh, I know you I know this is different because it's advertised as such, but like didn't Todd berry do a whole tour That was Todd berry does crowd work jeff lee and does crowd work this it is a special No, I'm not saying and I would put crowd work as the same as you could say with a guy with a dummy or a prop act or what it's It's just it's not a form of the thing. So it's not less legitimate I'm just trying to think like if I went to see Dave Chappelle and he did 30 minutes of crowd work if the crowd work is incredible I don't know that I care does that make sense. Yes. Yes, and the guy beside you make care Yeah, so it's not to say right or wrong.
I guess if it feels I guess the problem is If I feel like the crowd work is natural that helps a lot too Like let's say there's three women that are like a little louder and will stop laugh But you know what I mean or one of them is a funny laugh and you bring that like that I don't know I'll tell you there's a guy jeff lee said before shut up jeff lee said he will do crowd work but for sure Take everything he talks about with the crowd and on the end put all like it's really is he gets standing goes all the time and it's sort of like um It's funny because it's happening. It's also just the it gets the applause because while you did that you kept that all together So I've seen all all forms of it I just wondered what this guy I see becomes so successful at 28 because have you watching the specials? No, he's so like a mexican machinberg or he's also pretty clean. So I thought there's sort of some um Nate Barghats in it.
Can I be honest with you go at this moment in my life comedy feels kind of dead to me Oh me too. That's so funny. I haven't watched comedy and I can't tell you how long ago I don't know if it's me or if it's just that I feel like most of the specials I watch lately It's like everyone's just phoning it in like they have other stuff and this is the key I think when they were just comedians that was their job And now they all have eight other avenues that are taking them away from comedy And I think comedy is just the podcast used to be the advertising for their comedy And now it's almost like the comedy is their advertisement for whatever. Maybe you're selling a booze or your I don't know But it doesn't seem like you do get your making Joe's special was like the night comedy died for me Yeah, I mean Simon.
I like I I was blown away that Simon and I got as high as we did I just sat there in silence. It just showed me that like People think that's funny. I obviously don't understand where comedy is Watching subtitles by the chance because that's that's the sneakiest thing that ruins stand. I would never No, but have you ever actually done that?
No, and you're like, I just get how do I know all these Yes, it's a strange so that wasn't it but we know all the Joe's punch lines because he's used the jokes before Like you made a good point like if I see Nate Barghatsy has a new one There's certain names where if I see that they have a new special I have to check it out of shame came out with a new thing special tomorrow I'm watching it if Nate Barghatsy comes out the new special shapel I'm watching it But most like most of them dude I wait for you to come in or someone I know well to be like have you and that just doesn't happen often Like Chris Rock drop his shit everyone was talking about it for a year Well that's a bigger issue of how limited our access to entertainment was true So like Bill Burr has a new special I don't even know where to find it Bill Burr has a new special yeah I think it's on Hulu So you have a problem with the market saturated Which again happens is a comedy boom I mean even when there's stuff like Marc Maron's on quite a tear right now when everyone's sort of shooting on Austin. I don't know if you've seen that. Yeah, it's Marc Maron Did you hear him on Bad Friends? Yeah friends Well his stand-up special goes right at Theo Vaughn which is To me the worst taste like honestly let me let me just say Well Theo Vaughn I feel as one of those guys though He's bullshit right now man Theo's bullshit Yeah, he had like that little fucking kid on the Risler or whatever like I'm telling you It's I don't even know what he's doing hold on his defense Sorry go no I just want to make a big point Marc Maron has a special where he calls Theo Vaughn out by name Which again I think is really poor for him in comedy I think he doesn't know how we jam Well I just whatever I'm not in comedy He had a bomb on have you been there?
He had a bomb on it asked him softball questions He sold that too No, but what I understand is it's like dude You're allowed to bring your guy on and ask him softball questions But Theo can't bring his guy on and ask softball questions You also had a fighter on Yeah, shut your fucking mouth You're the biggest hypocrite on earth We all are Well I am And I'll tell you this It's that's that's that's an angle That's a hot thing down to shit on Austin Like that's how comedy goes Listen this goes for everybody All podcasters If you have a politician on and you ask only softball questions You are a plug You're a fucking Well I agree with that What's the word? Yeah, yeah, you're talking about the machine You're nothing now you know what I mean You can't then come back and say you're You've you've picked your side You've done your shit But again, that's my whole point Is Mark Marin's like Someone else wants to call Theo And again I hate that he's calling Theo Vano Be a man Call Joe Rogan Be a man You're too much of a book No, no, no, no He called Joe Rogan Not in his special On he waited to do it on bad No, no, no, no, no He's on his other special I can't do it on his other special I can't do it on his other special I can't do it on his other special I can't do it on his other special But he's been on the path And he's quit podcasting Yeah, look at the exact comedian now In any event Stand up is really hard Even for the best Like, that's why guys like Louis C. K or these guys Will actually have writers And not even lie about it Or Chris Rock or people do get writers That's another level Yeah, but stand up change Over the last 10 years I don't know what I can put my finger on it It's still had the same problem That it had when it was on Carson And someone had five minutes Got big, got a movie, got a show And everyone thought that was a way Like And then you said Joe has shown his path And that's sort of like The template And everyone's trying to emulate that And some succeed, some fail And something new Will eventually come out of this I can say I might figure on the pulse To say who that is But like with the guys like Theo I think Theo prefers podcasting Well podcasting is a lot easier I think so And then furthermore with that Everybody that's doing podcast Except for us Is doing them at crazy times And that's what I notice a lot Is some last one is coming out It's only crazy Oh, six months or whatever Their schedules are So that really messes up The relevance of stuff And if people are holding on to stuff To wait and that's hot Let's put that out now You know what I mean? Harkening back to the Benjamin Netanyahu No podcast That was done Not put out People started talking about it That queen hype I don't think it went the right way for them But for Theo to have the riz on And Do you know who that is?
Who? The rizler He's the guy go to that Yeah, the little kid there Who hangs out with a boom Boom, boom, boom Yeah Oh, do they eat like Costco food and shit? Yeah, exactly So this is like the youngest kid So he's like Trying to make jokes But the kid's not getting it It's like But how many kids too did him You know, I'll figure this with you guys Alright and tune in another one Simon, that's his motivation Simon He doesn't need to do that He's already the biggest podcast This is where you don't know what you need to do With contests It's stressful Clearly Simon, this is If I hadn't gone to this big extra plug Show, I would agree with you But having gone like Grandpa making jokes to me about bringing a gun Because we just assumed we were like This guy's a fucking Texas gang banger You know what I mean? We just thought like That was gonna be the vibe And to get there and see a gang of white country people It really made me think I was like Fuck this guy just had to do two crossover country songs And he's He's blown up so much bigger because of it Just because he's How limited it would be if he was just wrapped Yeah, exactly And again, I don't like the country songs Like when he played them, I was like This is not my jam Like I'm here for the other shit I'm here for the gang banging Texas shit To be fair But whatever Like I can't be mad at this game He charged $80 at ticket He probably got paid fucking $100k or whatever Who the fuck knows?
I mean Dude, and that's it And it was all plaid and cowboy boots No, but it just like For a room that I thought was going to be darker Than it Like I'll give it to you that Carrie who got me in She was like We had a big meeting before the show They brought in a gang of Toronto security Like dude, every security guard there Had the full face mask on Like Kevlar vests It was not that vibe at all Carrie even told me she's like They warned us that everyone was gonna be smoking pot And that it was gonna be impossible to stop I didn't see anyone like a joint And I mean no one Cross promotion That is the key to the funny The absolute funniest part of the show The DJ at one point goes This is the last stop on the tour This is our last stop Our very last stop And he goes We've been all over this country And he goes And every single stop we made in Canada They all said Auto was gonna be the hype is for sure I look at Graham and Carrie I look at everyone around me Every single thing they're going Nope No, that just didn't happen No one ever to like No one's ever said I don't care you went to Halifax No one was like an auto was gonna be I was fucked I would just be bummed if I was Theo Von fan Like listen to his podcast And that's an episode I would have to listen to You know But I think we're forgetting that Like with Joe You didn't When You didn't have to listen to everyone You listened to at first You listened to the ones you wanted to And then you went back And filled the gaps in But like As a Theo fan I just think you're like Well I'm just not listening this week Because the Rizzlers are not that But you don't really In the big scheme of things You're like He's trying to get that back If we had a show That was like this past Thursday Through Sunday Yeah Then I would be bummed Oh, thanks a lot To get you bummed I didn't hit us hard but it's okay They did brief Roach Because unfortunately This got it a bit of carton Yeah, we didn't need the carton But that's his thing now His dad I guess was an auto detailer So he's been around cars all the way Well he brought that up the last time They were on as well But I was going to mention too Like that might be why he's not So much in a car He started this fucking car YouTube channel That's already eating up a lot of this time as well I was going to go back to them I'm not hitting but just watching a young person A chief success at a young age Instead of already seeing Like when you saw Aaron Foster Like you were trying from football Like you're still Well there's not things I want to do And so that's the thing that happens And that's why Eddie Murphy is such a freak Because he was successful at 19 And despite all his bad movies Has gone You know Way more winners and losers At 19 he was actually funny Hilarious So that's a big difference Ridiculously hilarious Between him and like Are you You didn't like Barbos as comedy? I think Barbos is in the same About and if He was in this area where All he had was stand up I think his stand up in seven years Will be amazing Does that make any sense? Yeah but hear me out like You know Let's say okay I know you only said He only has seven dates this year You might have traveled the whole First six months Absolutely No but so hear me out too His car channel like just as an example If you're on the road You know you're pretty bored You got nothing much to do during the day Like why not fill your time With a secondary Moneymaker YouTube channel Yeah I know I get what you're saying It takes away from the comedy though If you should be working on your comedy all day I wonder And I just wonder if Because there used to be Because say before Joe It was basically just stand up I still think there was a sitcom thing And this guy could get a sitcom I don't know Have you seen him? Yeah he's funny though Yeah Have you ever said like I have to write a joke And then sat down and wrote a joke Yeah sure You have That doesn't mean it was funny But that's a different situation It's definitely easier Something happening and seeing it Funny and realizing you can tell And then working it out But just Knowing you can tell it again Because the biggest thing I've noticed With younger comics Because the comic competition Is on this week Is three of the five acts on that The week I did All had Hitler jokes Not because Hitler's funny But it was just this thing I'm going to show you That I can't even make Hitler funny And I don't even get that thinking Where you could make something Ralph Barboza did Five minutes on Smoking cigarettes Why he thinks it's cool But just that silliness Way more like an hit by Gatsy Then some say I'm going to take this subject That's really tasty And you're going to see I'm funny And I just That's a weird idea that people have On how to write a joke So to speak You got to write a joke Okay What's funny about Hitler?
What kind of what? What were their Hitler jokes? One was Hitler was autistic Or something Trains right now I don't remember the point Being was They're doing it As if this thing just Well people are dirty None of this because it's so funny Insulin I can say this in Anybody doing Epstein jokes? Epstein jokes Not a lot Funny say that Not a lot Not a lot Nobody's Calm things A Trudeau Blackface joke You're not going to get through A night like that What?
Just a Trudeau in Blackface That'll always get everyone laughing And you don't even get it I mean I get it You don't even get it Funny But yeah Barbo said he's a hilarious comic Found his voice Like he started right at a high school So do you think he thinks life is hard? I don't know You don't know Well I don't know I can't get decided to think life is hard But with anyone And he asked me or something Who just achieved success by say 28 I don't know what you guys are complaining But I mean I just tried it And it all worked out There's a new college football show On Netflix Did you watch that? Not yet Any given Saturday Do you watch college football? I know some things Because you watched this show But before watching this show Did you know anything?
Well I knew something Name me a big ten team A big ten team? Yeah Well this thing was about the SEC No but a big ten team Probably like Syracuse I wouldn't know Because I've fucking watched college football And either do you You know what I did watch I was going to say this for the post-show And this is an idea of the things That we do on the post-show Yeah But you're an ESPN8 The Ocho? Yeah What's the Ocho? So I'm an ESPN8 It's a channel for you They had the...
Is it like all weird sports? Of course They had the world champion dinosaur race It's a dinosaur race Everyone wears those t-rex costumes And they sprint down a track with horses race But you know the t-rex I'll make his off-field air And then it goes this way They're just the crazy we're trying to person Running down this track And they go They go You know what seniors women Is the people with the hobby horses? Yes Don't talk The peg horses Don't talk Why are you saying donkey don't? That's the property That's where they pretend to be horses Where they pretend to be horses And jump over things No no no no This is where they have an inflated donkey And you have to flip it No no So I'm talking about the stick horse Where the girls jump over They have a quest for you That's a real sport Oh it's a real sport This one had an inflated donkey That you had to flip it And it went on nose It's three points On its stomach It's one point Oh my gosh Full reversal That was on the ESPN Professional sport Shut up You know what sport I watched the other day That had like a huge following I've never even seen this It's like these They're like It's called something top darts So it's like a It's a plastic Like rubber It's got a Plunger on each side Top and bottom Oh I've seen it yeah yeah There's links There It landed on top Like a bigger plunger And if you land straight up You get applied it For a while I was watching this YouTube channel Because you know Dishambeau hit Over his house there Yeah Well this guy was throwing the Things over his house That's interesting You know the game where you get The little basketballs Yeah That was on there That's a professional sport Nice Hold on Hold on Like the For tickets Tick tock Whatever it's called You know what's great Is that one with the little trampoline And you hit That's a good beach game Oh that's so hard That shit is impossible It's like a frisbee one Where you throw the frisbee In the fucking hole dude That shit is insane A little white championship Shut up Slippy stairs Slippy stairs Slippy stairs What is slippery stairs They're just trying to get out Plus they have all this loop And the people are spraying on And you gotta climb up And others can pull each other down Wasn't there a What was that show Where they fought against like laser And uh Oh trampoline Wasn't there one where they had Like a slippery staircase or something No they had that dangerous pyramid Yeah we're like there was like Three gladiators at the top You could make it to the top of your head They were all getting fucked Oh yeah We were watching little kids Like final court injuries And it was way worse than WWE But we were just by us I always wanted to man that Fucking tennis ball Yeah So we're trying to thwart it Cause you get that one chance They do the phone Bazook But yeah I mean when you watch tv You look at america things like Everything's going good T-rex races No one's worried about a thing And Barbose is not worried about a thing too He's got that hulu money And that Netflix money How much do you think is worth?
He probably threw out about Twelve thirteen jokes That Joe just missed Joe's not in the room with Joe He was actually trying to get Something going with Joe there Joe's not there for comedy Even when he was like Joe This would be a good name for my special That'd be good name for your special Joe was like I'm not moving on Do you think Joe can do stand up anymore? No He would be like against the machine Which he is So Well he's not I mean the idea What they keep sorry No no But the idea of the comedian Speaking truth to power And all this You can just complain about yachts Or ranches My mexican gardener Yeah No Joe I just don't Yeah he's not the any man anymore Like I don't see his problems being Our problems And the thing is You saw the video of him on the super yacht Like going down the slide Yeah Yeah I did not see that No yeah He's he's living his best life He has company with people who have more money Than him and then you can feel Well I'm rich but I'm average It looked like a tiny little baby In a swimming bowl of water birth 2.76 million There we go That's worth That's worth That's worth I way to go Like he's talented And he's funny But say someone like the hop 2 girl Are these people that just try to grab the money Just you open a nice restaurant Maybe not even a restaurant Maybe that's lose money But there's a way to take 2.78 million And just be happy for rest of your life, right? Yeah And he can do shows Right? I have this is also I was going to the post Joe But I'll do it now Just to fill out a little time Is I think the end of society was Iggy Azalea I don't even know what that is Why I want you to know If you ever have two million dollars If you pop it into High-yield dividend stocks And they will pay you at $100,000 a year for life This is not financial advice No that might be financial No it's not Because I'm not a financial advisor But I'm not lying Go ask your financial advisor That is I'm not joking I'm not I'm not I'm not It's impossible to lose your money doing Basically Well These stocks are Their blue chip stocks aren't meant to go anywhere They're meant to stay And the reason they don't go anywhere Is because they pay out these high dividends So the stock price never moves They should never Even if the market tanks Well here's the thing Let's say the market absolutely tanks Eventually it will come back And you will get your money back eventually So that's easy part I know where to put the money back I just got to figure out how to get the two dollars Yeah but I'm just saying If you ever came into a $2 million lump sum You can now live off $100k a year free and clear Get that bag king But in 2014 He came out Do you remember who she is?
Yeah of course Fancy Fancy was it And she was Nick the big one She was Being swaggy P And she was the voice of a generation No she was not At first of all she's Australian The whole bunch of stuff's going on Comes out in 2014 Now you think she's made more money than It's fit Okay Didn't In 2023 joined OnlyFans Made life changing money and now she's retired So you think the path was to become a music star I mean lots of money and right off the sunset It's not It's to get on the OnlyFans That is the only way out In this world Well that's because the music industry Is just trying to take all of your money Whereas OnlyFans is just like We tell you upfront The percentage we're taking Go get that bag And that's almost a crazy thing That's sort of like how we contribute To the gold mine and Peru or whatnot If you listen to all these musicians Before streaming and stuff The way they get screwed They get so little money The music can get all the money The publishing all these ideas And it's still With Spotify It's nothing No matter what happens artists artists must get screwed And we do nothing must survive It is crazy if you think about it Taylor Swift I think she famously got a check For like $50,000 from Spotify For like billions And billions of streams No but then you're like Well you guys gave Joe Rogan $500 million That seems like Taylor Swift No Disrespected Joe Taylor Swift seems like She should get the biggest chunk of that Well I'd be interested if Taylor Swift For just argument's sake Did Start by fans Oh no Oh my god She'd make Could you do OnlyFans? I could Is there people out there Who would want to see what you got to offer Guys let me know how much you pay for OnlyFans No no I don't have other people You want No probably not No no one has what Kumar has No no one's ever asked for First of all None of us are women No no no What I'm saying is that This is my question Can a guy go out there And make his bag Kicking on Only Oh you know who made a bag Yes Oh you know who made a bag Um duck guy Oh uh Twisted team Yeah yeah yeah He made all his money showing his fucking junk on uh So listen if Simon This is how it works with everything It's just like a podcast If you're already famous somewhere And you start a podcast Your podcast will have a ton of listeners So if you're already famous And you're a good looking dude Gay guys will pay for your only thing Like you don't give a fuck at that point If you're making like Do you care No the problem is people in high school Saying you have no You sold your disrespect guy If someone wants you Someone Dude if you told me right now Matt You'll make a hundred grand a month Fingering your own asshole I'm in No that I'm going to lose respect Dude I'm moving so far away From you I don't care about your opinion It gives a fuck This is my point What is the downside? No I'm going to do it for two years I'm going to get that two million Dollars I spoke of And then I'm fucking free and clear Nothing's going in my asshole ever again And we're done Unless you either like it Then you don't even know No you never know I'm going to pay down the whole one Sure come on Whatever Then you can move up to funds No I mean that's good like dude I have a kid I'm never going to I'm never The way things are going for me I'm not going to be able to retire myself I'm not going to be able to Leave him a nest egg Nor will I be able to buy him a home So smash cut Smash cut to me I'm rammed in the ass Yeah like Shake your lips Let's do it first Okay Shut the fuck up I'm fine Later Is this for you Charlie? It is for you But another thing is Ralph Barbosa Where did he come from?
San Diego Tejas Oh there you go The Texas really is the center of the universe popping off for So many reason Well that's a weird I mean Just because Ralph Barbosa's from Texas I think the guy you just saw Rap last week It was also Texas We only hear so much about Texas Because Joe talks about Texas a lot No Well I saw a rapper from Texas But I've seen about a hundred rappers From the LA I haven't seen a lot of rappers I haven't seen a lot of rappers Texas popping off though It's a place to be Well no I'm just thinking I'm just thinking I haven't From the bottom of my heart I haven't seen that many LA rappers in life I don't know if you find this interesting But just before we go to break Ralph Barbosa was all right Vegas is like dead You said that last week And he said no it wasn't What do you mean? Did you say no it wasn't Because someone else told me no it wasn't No it's Their numbers are way down Way down That's all because of Canadian tourism That's a huge factor I think There's I can name you Ten factors real quick First off They're the greediest place on earth Every Every roulette wheel now Simon has three zeros Which means they're just trying to steal from it You can't find a blackjack table for under $25 Um The comps are less Like everything is just It's not It's just going too expensive I went to the hard rock It's terrible Nice though eh It's nice but it's terrible What's terrible about the gambling? The fucking all the roulette Machines are fucking the same What does that mean? They're just the same machine Over and over and over and over again That's not how it's You like human in error and stuff to be Wait a minute I don't remember Is that Are there humans spinning the roulette wheels?
No not roulette Sorry What are we talking about here? Sloshing Sloshing Sloshing Half of us That's all you There's only one roulette wheel There's only one poker table But it's not Poke table It's garbage It's garbage It's garbage because it's No bother going there Go to the Quebec one Which is also a fucking garbage Yeah but in comparison Way better For like actual gambling Alright I give Ralph a 1.5 Give him a 3 You are a liar I give him a 1 I like Ralph I just hated the episode 1.5 with Matt Perfect There we go We're going to take a break We're going to pay a bill And we'll be right back This is an ad by BetterHelp Gang these days it feels like There's advice for everything Gratitude, journal, screen, detox As cold plunges Joe Rogan we're looking at you But how do you know What exactly works for you? Did Camar tell you his theory On why we haven't made a trade deal yet?
No Because may I? You're a paraphrase But I hope you do better than the point I'm trying to make As far as I could gather It was We can agree on all the trade stuff But there's something the Americans have put in That is a sticking point for Canada Yeah And it's something very like Maybe right on the nose from this episode Like some like Women in athletics We have one of our conversions therapy is illegal But that means to Try to stop someone from thinking they are The thing is not conversion Like gender affirming care is illegal But to try to convince someone Otherwise then that through any sort of program Is illegal And say they were saying You change that law and we can do trade They're just trying to do some bully sort of Something that a majority of Canadians probably say Okay fine Even though it might be a step back If you're saying This is an attack on this community That's possible I hope that's not the case But we are very progressive in this area Of trance Of everything Of everything And what I've seen the current thing right now Is what can be joked about If you're harking back to the Dave Portnoy When he was yelling at that guy Yeah you can't joke about the Jews Can't joke about the Jews He was saying it's a conversation And then It's getting down to it with even the PPD show and Tucker Carlson I say good examples That example you showed of Dave Smith and Alex Berenson Taking one thing or something And that's not funny It's often someone saying something in jest And then turning around and using it against them Which makes me feel almost hopeful That we're getting to the bottom of the barrel Of what people go into the day-to-day Argue about Because everyone's sort of screwed in Defending Trump And telling you how great things Trump are going to be Although it's Still new here How many memes are AI? And how much do you love the meme? I'm not on Instagram So I don't see a lot of memes But I don't see a lot of memes You're going to keep going right?
Yeah I miss memes It's mostly the comments To the names that are the Comments sometimes The comments section is great Yeah And I don't feel like those comments are AI They're too witty This is what you hope I can't do this is what you hope Not Yeah They're too witty Like of course some comments are But I'm saying the ones that like Yeah I'm with you Yeah I'm with you Those ones are an AI Come on You can tell You can tell the county valley No you can What's worse is it comes from a The hangover ones Or the fucking off your job ones There's certain ones that you have to be certain age That you could only have that attitude Because otherwise you're fucked What are you talking about? There's only certain memes you look at There are memes that are made by a 30-year-old AI or a real person Or they're 20s They can have that viewpoint I remember being there see it And there's other ones that are Someone would find like a boomer remover Yeah Skibity toilet Get that old Boomer remover Is that what you said? That's what I said Wow Dude Mary showed me her Instagram the other day On the discover page This is not a joke She pressed the discover button And Every single square was a baby Thank God He said that Thank God he said that I was like I cannot believe that Dude she scrolled It was like There was one that was like makeup Baby baby baby baby Scroll down the next page Like Maybe two that weren't baby It was fucking insane It's so weird Because mine is also women breastfeeding Yeah mine is baby feeders That's it, we're canceled Another example of this experience Is Into the mic Simon Into the mic With these ideas People are choosing Sort of their identity And their stance over say relationships And that's something I think before social media Walking around as you're living You didn't think it was possible Yeah it used to only be politics And religion But you didn't have a bunch of other things Feeding your thought process Creating your identity of like Well this is just a non-sequitur thing For me or this is where I draw the line To what everyone said What importance it actually is But I don't know I think this guy is not crazy He's bitter He's bitter He brought up that Damn the Kubrick Actually had a woman write out Those notes Or two-second is Write out 500 pages All work and no play makes jacket Oh boy It was funny what the translations were And other Two in the bush One in the hand Like it doesn't fucking Hit the same way You know And I think Taylor Sheridan Has definitely employed AI Okay so it employed To get that many shows I think Taylor Sheridan is AI Okay then so is Elon Musk But I honestly believe This stuff has been around Yeah he's been using it for a long time Make a cowboy show Or it's start to think That you can hire a bunch of other people Plug into But if you really think about Unless he just had all these stories And they're not even great stories And that leaves me believe it's AI I totally agree with you His shit is so basic And so dumb And the dialogue is so ridiculous And when you go back and watch Yellowstone Which I don't know why I thought I think I just like cowboys So anything seems good But like listening To any scene that has fucking Beth in it Like if she was a flat-chested woman You know what I'm saying It's just that so every scene Those women are out there too Um, Sicario was good Yeah, Sicario was good The first one No you're right I'm just saying I'm with you All his TV shows Yeah I'm with it Yeah they seem they seem like plug-and-play Like Hoggar Which seems interesting Because I forgot to mention the Barbosa Episode but he was talking about hip music Yeah And all it feels it comes out of certain hurts Yeah And there is that sort of frequency That makes you feel lovely You know what was really interesting About that? How quickly Joe was to dismiss that Altogether Very fast And if I know that it's true Well and then when Jamie was like Well hold on Um Mike Baker has told him many times Well he works He's also employed by the largest music platform on Earth That's true That's very true And he hasn't listened to fucking Winds of Change Which just seems very convenient Yeah Why listen to it when you can live it Matt?
I would not be surprised And again, I'm not the conspiracy Ooh I wouldn't be surprised If music had some sort of something Excuse me Some sort of dopamine No just like if they knew like again Where do I rap? Well no no no no Sorry what something though Well no it could be like it could be Anything as much as like just like the hurts Like you change it to a certain hurt Well no we know that's a thing That exists for sure That is not made up Especially so maybe there's one that makes you more malleable Like fluoride Sure or just in general Like I wonder if there's like a fucking certain Like you know how every song is like the same four chords Again it's just like maybe if there's something too Like it's an ancient sort of like that sort of tune That just I don't know What do you think it's doing? I don't know But the point is is that it's not What he said is not that crazy to me Sonic's vibration Sure I mean what you said is definitely Like I think we know that the CIA Or whatever powers that be have used music To move Countercultures or to do Whatever you're going to say to move Giant blocks Sure Also and this will happen if you're new to the show But in the episode about the lead Fluoride made its way in And you are supposed to spit out toothpaste I never thought about it Well who swallows toothpaste? I think I may have once It's disgusting You've just like brushed it all around your mouth It's full of all the shit you're taking off your teeth And now you're just going to swallow that into your stomach Stranger things have happened But that being said We should be using fluoride at all Why do they make fluoride free toothpaste That in conjunction with the lead Would only make for a dumber society They put the fluoride in the toothpaste Just to play the ablo avocado for a second Because too many people don't brush their teeth That sounds crazy And I know Joe would argue it But that is the truth Like there's too many people who This way They keep less people with the The only problem with all these things Toothpaste company cares No, not the toothpaste The weight on the healthcare system The government, you think it's Colgate Who's putting the fluoride in the water?
100% No, it's the US government Who's putting the fluoride in the water Are you? No, come on Stop it You think there's a gold gate plant in every state That's just fluoride in the floor The fluoride brothers You know what you thought it was like Teal, it was a handshake Me and Matt fluoride And if you think about it Carole Crest Oh, and mouthwash don't forget You don't even get it Sorry That was my roots Hotel with cocktails Camarsquid drinking but he's up to his mouthwash Intake by 10,000% But he's shooting rugby at college Four bottles of scope a day All of Motown was one band, right? What do you mean? Motown had a band All those artists would come in the studio And record their stuff With the Motown band The late crushers or something Just a second for me The label There was a bunch of people under Motown A bunch of artists There was a Motown band to record Motown was a place, wasn't it?
There was a record there That's right Very gordy Was a part of Detroit? Or just Detroit was Motown Detroit was known as Motown All of Detroit I believe so But there was a label called Motown Records Yeah, got it Very gord The temptations of Fortops and Supremes The Jackson Five, The Fun Brothers Now all those artists The same band played the music Oh, now I see what you're saying Okay, you're doing okay They were the studio band Motown So now you have this sound And now whenever you listen to any of that music It brings you that You know that Motown dang The harp, he knows those around what he's trying to say You gotta get him to do this dance And then you get there Yeah, come on, I'm with you Listen, in music in general You find out that like There's probably, I don't know 50 people in the U.S Studio musicians That are part of every project That's been done in the last 60 years And is that nepotism or friends? No, I think it's just that There's like just there's a guy out there Who's just that good at guitar Is there anyone at this table Who is a fan of the flaming lips? No Yes, yes Good band Uh, and?
That's it, I'm just wondering Well, he talked, I didn't talk about the ends of the bands They talked the ends of the band There was a time period where the whole top 100 There was no bands in it Except we know that Ghost was in there a couple months ago So did you guys see anything about How Justin Timberlake Was really mailing in his performances And he was getting a lot of flack Because he was like One place he went out in like a big jacket And he just had the crowd sing most of it Turns out he has lime disease Or is that convenient like Or he claimed his wife Yeah, that's That would be a good idea Your time plan for AIDS And lime disease Tape herb And if you really want to commit to it We have eating this No, you're like a big bitch You're like a big bitch bingo ball Yes, yes How long do you want this to last for? Because lime disease is incurable And are you really willing to take this all the way? Did you just have a drunk driving thing like a year ago too? Did he?
Did he? Did he? He did, yeah But he What I find interesting is he had lined A music festival in Romania Things would start going downhill And if you're going to be a headliner to show In this day and age of festivals You have to put a big show on it Especially if you're Justin Timberlake Yeah And I think that's the weird thing about longevity Yeah Well, you can't bring sexy back in a big parka You know what I mean What if the park is sexy? Or just play around Nothing under the park You know what I always liked about him He did a song with 50 Cent Yeah Ayo If he played Dio using technology He's got to have a scissor Why don't you sit down on top of me Ayo Because much like Yellowstone His music isn't that great Justin Timberlake Yeah Yeah, I wouldn't know You wouldn't know one of his songs I don't know any of his songs But you know in sync Oh, I'm big in sync fam I want you back Ayo That's not in sync so I don't know I want you back That's for sure That's in D-D-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N You're all I ever want Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah The Batchy Boys, you know them And we'll be at all around Did you guys watch the show on Netflix Where they're building that band And the people like get to pick It's called Building the Band on Netflix A Blind Box And they here Is that a P-D-E-Show?
No It was Back in the Day Anyways, one of the hosts Was that in sync guy? No, no Yes, no Was the Harry Styles His band One Direction One Direction Who ended up Jumping off the balcony Oh, yup Yeah, so it was like Before Yeah, but you just talked to Reckless before Because I think he was on impulsive Talking about how he actually was the band You know, people don't know this And these guys, even Aaron Carter I mean, he said What happens to be in the Batchy Boys recipes But they put it once ago They get 100 million views And I think the rise in show business Is so much excitement And the fall is so hard Well dude, did you watch that I'm sure you watched it on the train wreck On the storming area of 51 Yeah So like that guy created that meme Is famous for like, you know, two months Three months Tries to throw this massive show Amazingly ends up throwing a show But not at area 51 And he makes $1,700 And the next day he's back Working at the vape shop Yeah, and so that's like But like, dude, who was that girl from Ottawa? Keisha Cole, was that her name? Remember she had a big hit?
And like, everyone's like, she's going to the top Like, yeah, yeah, no, is that what she is? There you go That is pretty good But that is sort of the path But the point is the path The trajectory was so much higher And then she just ends up on the CBC Which is again, fine That's great That's great That's just but this guy was a Writer of hit shows And by the grace of God, there's Rod Schneider Who's a very conservative And he's taken man And he's found a home And I would argue That most of the planet agrees with him Looks at this issue, the same I agree I would say that And so that's eye opening to society that disagrees But I also think Kamar, like being Canadian I also think we Like, I'm going to be honest with you I don't care Yes And what I mean is like, I don't mean that to be callous I mean, I don't, if you as an adult want to do what you want to do I don't give a shit I care about the children I don't think you should be fucking kids up But this the same way I don't think you should fucking want with religion I think you should just let a kid be And if as an adult they decide this is what I am Then all the power to you're not hurting me Your sexual decisions, none of that hurts me It doesn't affect me at all So that's how I look at that But I do agree on it, it seems kind of bananas And when you do see, because he plugged that one And right now, but there's a Because Twitter's crazy Because he was one of the person He got better people He said, a man is not a woman, ban for life Come back He put on a channel that just shows People in distress After the fact Making these decisions And because it sort of ruined his life His thinking, the way it is I mean, much like the floor, I don't know if I got this point across You don't care No, it's tough when you find out that these things Like it's tough to defend fluoride when you're like The Nazis were the first to do it The same where this guy's like The vagina plastic was created by some Fucking heinous Nazi doctor Like all those things are tough If you go to the root of it, that doesn't help Well, you're just It's tough to be like those were helpful people That were doing the right thing To try to help their people It doesn't seem like that's often the case And so your argument for fluoride Could be like, you know, well the Nazis started And it also brought back the discussion of The idea of Cultural Marxism realized it could do by force So it did by doing through academia And even whatever in roads it's made With changing language and I would say ruin but making Jordan Peterson Allowing for this arena to be an argument stuff Hasn't done irreparable damage Because it's just contained to hear I mean listen, I think about the world I grew up in And if you really like In the last 25 years How many words have really gone away? Nothing, everything came back with Trump It was a No, but I mean, you know, like Fag is a word that you definitely hear a lot less You know what I mean, like growing up That was a word that I definitely heard a lot Yeah, I hear that work a lot No, but you know what I mean? Like I But you hear it far less As like an echo in the halls as you're screaming I don't know, because anything that's discouraged just thrives No, no, come on If I'm playing video games I hear that word often Okay, my point is this If I was sitting on a patio 25 years ago You might flippantly hear that word from another table And not think anything of it Whereas now if you're sitting on a patio You probably wouldn't say it yourself And you probably wouldn't hear it from a table You know what I mean?
I would argue if you said it in another country You would recall like someone that They just beat the shit out of you Yeah, it's not acceptable anywhere But again, it's depending on the context Is that a friend? He is gay, but he does a great fag joke No, my point was like towards the cultural Marxism Like, you know, it's like this guy said I think a lot of that shit just lives on the internet I think a lot of this discourse, a lot of the anger A lot of the, like when you go out in the world I don't see a lot of people I don't know that angry at other people For like the words they're using Or like trying to cancel people Or I don't really see that a lot I think the more scary part about the culture of Marxism Was creating a bunch of trans fluid Whatever, not, not readers I don't know what you want to call them They are a lot of us, I don't exist But the one thing in common is They probably have less chance that they're going to procreate In the traditional way What about gay people in lesbians, you know? Dance adopt I mean, or it's the same thing There's no difference But we also want a population that is having families and children We want that to be a exception, not the norm No, I understand What do you want us to say to gay people With adopted children? Well, no, to be fair It's not to be fair Kumar That conversation never came up in my lifetime To the last 10 years Like at no point when I was young Were there any talk of like We're not having enough kids or population collapse Or any of that like Well, Doug Sandhope made a career of saying there's too many people There you go No, but he was pro-abortion as it gets Yeah, I mean, I'm just saying That I, you know, up until 10 years ago I don't remember anyone being like We have a fucking problem And we have to start having kids Or bringing people in like that But that is clearly the problem And why our government brought in so many Well, that's what they tell us too We don't necessarily know that I think, I think I was talking to one guy Because you know, I heard about how these people I argue they brought in Are living in the glee You know, and the argument back is Well, where do you want me to go?
If I get one of those condos It's tiny plus I get the fees Like, if there was a place that was reasonable I could make that deal And he pointed out that People are living a lot longer And healthier than they did Of course, 20 years ago Or 40 years ago The whole cast of cheers was younger than I am What's that sad? That's sad No, you're old 100% You're old about coach Yeah, I gotcha Okay, fine, take my take Wait, don't, you're not Fuck off Could we play that again? No, no But you get what I'm saying Simon No, you said you're old The coach Okay, you said you're old You said you're old You said you're old You said you're old Please don't trip There we go Yeah, no, like Are societies old? Yeah, old care is better And...
Wait, what? What? Is that a habit? I've been confusing it It's more expensive Yes, you got me Both of us, what?
Oh, fuck Any event Any event There's a lot of old people Well, apparently no Nobody's going to see grandchildren I mean, there's an argument Listen, there is an argument that, like, in the next 20 years Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Warren Buffett is definitely going Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and maybe Bezos, let's say Bezos, goes young somehow They all die and leave And I'm like, they've all stated That they're leaving an immense amount of wealth to these funds of theirs that are supposed to Yeah, dip it out to like good causes So, do you get any of that? No, it'd be mostly in the States, I believe I think Aussie's lucky Aussie, Aussie, I was born passing just at this juncture in time Because there's people who I think about the weight of them passing will be Culturally I have one who they were But the older you live now, someone will say, you know that guy that sang on P.D. Song basically, he died Like, what do you think is thing? Like, Bill Collins is about to pass away Bill Collins is going to pass away?
Yeah You know what's an interesting thing? Like, you were born into this time but you could have just as easily been born Like, you're just a sperm that got there quick, you know Well, we want to put a button that and wrap this up and get into the Can I ask you a question? Do you remember when you found out Bob Hoskins was British? Yeah Was that a fucking moment for you?
Yes, because I only knew The Matrix is shattered No, I remember I had this conversation with something the other day because I brought up a McNulty? No, I brought up He's a Brit Wait, I knew that When he's If you watch the Wire enough When he raises his voice, you hear the British come through a little more, yeah Do both of you guys see the cry game? Yeah Yes It took me a second to argue It took me a second to argue It took me a second to argue I was like, I'm not meant to just do It took me a second to argue I was like, I'm not meant to just do If I know what year movie came out How much cost of making How much made the box office This week we're doing The Cry Game Which I think is worse Chicks with the dick on camera Oh yeah, we're going to figure out what year this game was I was young and I'm ever being like Whoa Whoa What? Whoa Whoa What?
Whoa Okay, so wait, I was Oh, you know what? I think I have a year for this Okay, I have a year for it too I have a year 1992 I said 91 Release date 1992 Yeah You're scarred Yes You can still have that dick Still in my mind I can still tell you where it was I'm meant to round me Oh man, what did this fucking movie Like there's no way All right, I think I'm There's no way Okay, I'm ready I think I'm ready This is I don't know I said it cost 10 million And it made 61 And I said 7.2 and 87 I don't know I just want it Because it's weird They're budget in pounds It says 2.3 million pounds Because of British book It's about six million dollars And a budget And box office 71 million Well, we both won I mean it's But the check with the day The people came out to see it Hold on Hold on, what do you mean, neither of us won I got the year I was 4 million off on the budget And I was 10 million off on the box Yeah, and I tried to give you credit And you just stomped on them So they could be together Together That's great Thanks Bob He's learned how to play this game What do you mean he didn't? It cost 6 million To make it made 70 million dollars Okay And it made all that money based on the dick It made all that money based on the dick That was 100% That was the only The only reason I remember being I remember back in the day It was like that was the only People were like just going to move with the dick Mm-hmm I mean, you remember everyone felt sorry Or not It's ironic too Because Ace and Tura came up like the same year And that also had Do that no more, can you? But that was the same premise, right?
Well, I mean, the crying game was just a rip-off Of Sleepaway Camp Oh, I guess the whole thing was that Yes Yeah, but it wasn't a bad thing Was it? Well, that's Sleepaway Camp at the end The girl is a guy I don't remember Sleepaway Camp I don't know if I might not see anyone else Was that a horror movie? Yeah, it really can't be a horror movie And that's the movie game Hey, okay, so Grandma and Speaking of truth, I agree with him And it sounds like he's lying on his feet with Ross Schneider It's a pretty blanket statement But anyway Well, who would I give it to? Yeah, I give it a one I won't say this This, like We're making a mountain out of a molehill I also believe And I know that your concern is like down the road Do you know how many NCAA athletes there are?
I know this isn't our country But anyone, anyone I guess? In total? Yeah, total NCAA athletes 10,000 500,000 500,000 Wow, do you know how many of them are trans? Well, this is, I'm glad you brought this up Um, two No, two percent Fifteen of them Fifteen Yeah, so it's so small it shouldn't matter Well, that's kind of my point It's like, it's not the other way Why, if it's so small, why are people freaking out about it?
No, but this is This is why, like, I kind of, I was pushing What he said, where he's like, I believe a lot of the outrage And a lot of his bullshit just lives on the internet And it's all, it's not really out in the world Like most people you speak to are just like As long as you're living your life, I don't really give a shit And it's not, I think a lot of the hate from both sides You have the person that wants to argue to the death Yeah, that's what I'm saying Like, I don't really think this outrage is like that And I think it stokes people in real life Like you might see people in real life that are having a bad day Or that aren't mentally sound That weaponized people Yeah, right, I think the whole, the fact that it's a discussion Could only put the rest is it's one way or the other I think it's going to get kicked to the road, like, abortion In any event, 2360 to be David Kipping Makes an interesting point If you're going to type a space, you've got to be British, right? Right, right, right No, it is true Right, right, right, right No, it is true, like, there is no, like, if Neil deGrasse Tyson Had a fucking southern accent, it would be unacceptable Unacceptable, he just gets by, he just gets by Yeah, but you know what I mean, Simon? Like, if you like Down here on the ranch, we're out looking at the stars every night No, like, number Fox News Fox News Out there, there was a big old black hole And it was sucking up So, man, my son, telescope So, you know what I'm saying? First of all, he said, oh, we got out there, which is just crazy These numbers were talking And we may have got the universe a-drung by, give or take 7 billion 7 hundred billion years, whatever, we all know these numbers don't mean anything But they're saying Did we ever believe it?
No, but it just goes to show you, like, the Big Bang That's what you were taught in school That's what my parents, your parents were taught And now they're Big Bang, like I said last week, is the big bullshit There is no, that's not how it went Wait a second, isn't it as best as we know? Well, now we know that, and I'm just saying, that happened in, what, like, 60, 70 years? And so, again, you're for totally wrong? You're forgetting that they were all, like, everything is, they remain just disprovable hypotheses, right?
My point is don't get committed to too many of these things you learn in school Because 60 years later, they're gonna be totally wrong But Simon, I use this example often, like, Einstein famously, he used a telescope and he looked out somewhere And he was like, there should be, he's like, there's something, something should be there Because the way things are moving out there isn't right And he didn't have the right instruments to prove What he was saying, I think it was, like, 40 years later, we had the proper instrumentation And we found, what, is it, Pluto? XO Plano? No, no, Pluto, it was whatever the last plant, the farthest plant was So he, again, not just a hypothesis that he got right, but a lot of the time, they're just saying, like, Basically evidence we have, we believe this Big Bang happened, we believe it was 6 billion years ago Whenever they get to a billion years, I'm just like, you're just throwing numbers So Big Bang, to me, sounds like one of those ones where they had no idea how the universe was created And they were just like, yeah, popcorn curd Throw something out at the wall and teach it in the schools and make it stick Well, this guy thinks we could be the expression of consciousness for the whole universe And there is nothing out there because they haven't seen it But one of the things he said they were, they're trying to do, I think they're not doing Is you shoot a satellite with a camera on it, 20 years, and it gets to the angle of a star That it reflects what it is shining on And you can see a round shot of that And then four years later, that comes back here And then we can really see what's going on out there These are just concepts, especially if the ocean is undiscovered or Unmapped, he led it to believe that if there was an alien on a phone on a planet, we would be able to see that With these Hubble telegraphs, Hubble telescope Is there any evidence of what it's done to Earth to see? That would be my question, right?
When it's done to Earth You can see 100,000 years, whatever it's seen Whatever, I don't understand the concept of the distance time and counting the infrared strips But if you turn the Hubble around Aren't we past the Hubble now, I thought we were using the James Webb? Both, both are being used, but the James Webb If we turn the James Webb around, can it see you rolling a joint in your backyard? Can we already have a satellite? Can we point it into the ocean and see what the fucks going on down there?
Well, we could see through the universe If we could see past the beach, I don't know I mean, because Joe brought up aliens and stuff in the water and he had no time for it He also said with all these people looking at stuff, we'd see stuff I just might do see stuff I think it's this, like if you could, let's say right now we have the capacity to travel at light speed How long does it take to comb the entire universe? Because that's what you're doing, like the argument that like there's nothing out there That's just it's so vast Like how long would it like we have 8 billion people on Earth If we sent everyone out in their own ship in different directions It's trialling at light speed, like it Well, unless it's like on an inter-dimensional level or something Like it's not there, but here all along sort of thing and they've been here along There is no one for all way around us They can see that or can you assume that with enough telescope pictures they've taken I'm assuming, right? But even then like, okay, here's a good example If I'm with you, turn that wet Why don't we look at the Omua Moo with that fucking James Webb telescope I'm gonna closer look at something like that Well, that's gone, but this new one that's coming out Sure, but because It's kind of contradicting, right? Like on one hand, we have this thing that's flying by and slowing down and changing its trajectory Sorry, I thought the James Webb, isn't it out in space?
Yeah, and Kumar's saying turn it around and look at us Well, he's saying, it's looking that way Maybe he can look one way I don't know, maybe it's like NASCAR Of course, I'm not a scientist I'm not a scientist Okay, well, and Kumar's defense slingshot it around something out there No, I hear you for sure And we have, as Matt said, we already have satellites that can If you had to take your best guess What do you think is in the ocean? Water Don't be so stupid No, that's a 10 out of 10 answer right there Feeling pretty confident with that Do you think there's military bases down there? Do you think there's alien bases down there? I think there's a whole different civilization Don't answer, he does this all the time He's looking to interject his opinion Why don't you tell us what you think is down there?
I have no idea I would say alien sounds like a good Yes, you've mentioned that But whether it's like just a bunch of ships, you know, idling Or if it's like a full civilization I don't know That's tough to tell, right? I'll tell you, I've seen some big caves around China Yes Which then I forget what it is But the surface of the Earth is such a small percentage of the Earth Corout You know what I mean? So who do I imagine? I'm a massive cavern Five times the size of the um Grand Canyon Thank you Simon Something's existing there Sure But this guy doesn't believe any of that He thinks the other thing is that we would detect Any goings on of energy That they're emitting That was I guess not a star And he'd get that either He seems like stars emit a lot of heat And a lot of energy And then he said there was a planet made of water They really do dream of this stuff, right?
Excuse me Do you think it would be weird if we were The only Yes The whole infinite universe And we are the only No A simulation No You don't think that would be weird? He said some mumbo jumbo about how crazy it is That a um Meanel acid has to form into a protein And they find it meanel acids but they They haven't figured out how they Or they out there haven't evolved Like we have So why not? Why not? Well The numbers like him just trying to describe That a black hole like Gravity's out at a certain point You can only consume so much but still Consuming more than our whole lifetime And the Egyptians and the dinosaurs Everything in a split second I heard an article the other day where they Believe that our entire universe Could currently be traveling through a massive black hole We're on our way up We don't even know it Just the whole universe Yes If you think about this whole area Being completely destroyed Longed It was just a clear cut And it's grown back to this That could happen again There'll be nothing in the time It's taking this web to get its signal back Why not be the only thing here?
Doesn't um Being birthed through a giant black hole Hurt Is that what you said? No that we're traveling through one But doesn't that sound like being birthed? Sure So you're coming out of the black hole Each black person Is being coming out of the black hole And being born Women are universes That makes sense Universes, uteruses Oh my god You did it Matt You cried there Yeah The lizard people are real Now they talked about the AI black mailing To stay alive But they also I think Joe said They planted information To sort of They put all the perfect ingredients To see if the AI would do that Or use it To its benefit To that But if it does use it to its benefit It means it's I love that we think we're Departing this I love that you're going to build a computer That's smarter than all of humanity And then you're like I bet we can trick it Yeah You know and you're like Really? Really?
It's not the ultimate stupid fuck The hubris and I'd also say I'm going to be talking about this The post-show But the levels of adoption Of these technologies And where we are to where say People in San Francisco are Or in China are In certain places where it's more technology advanced Well as quickly Like look how quickly we all just got Used to having the phone Yes, absolutely And using the phone And all of that Like to your point We will all be using Whatever this next thing is Just as easily Without hesitation Do you know which is the biggest Communication on the world? App What's up? It's what's up Did you know that? What's up, dog?
But did you know most people Use what's happening? I didn't even know what's happening Exactly Is it like a Google? No, it's just like a messenger On your phone Like the iMessinger But it's What most people in Europe And it's what everyone in the world It's the majority of the people Are using that Okay And so say the other day Someone asked me Send me here what's up I want to send you a video And I don't really do not know how to use it And I'm not saying I'm so savvy with tech and stuff Okay But so there's a I think there's a sweet spot of Adoption And stuff and then it gets You get sort of timed Right, but if you needed it You would have adopted it A long time If we all used WhatsApp Listen the fact Like that's nothing Some download on to your phone It's nothing If I don't have them over here Come from you that is rich No, but you get me Matt The big deal is the phone It's not the download We don't know how to download it I can download I can download fucking WhatsApp in two seconds If you're talking pretty tough for this If I knew the code to my Apple ID We can do it in like two seconds Adoption of technology But that's I mean Your argument is a weird one Are you saying we're behind on technology Because we don't use WhatsApp? That's not I don't think that's a argument That's not That's one reason I'll give the rest of the poster Okay Anyways Water coming off Way to tease that Water coming off the comment is super Cool and always exciting, right?
Is it? Because although we may be the only people In this universe We're not the only water Okay well Yeah, we know that for sure Yeah His point is life cannot survive Without water, as we know it And so Anytime we find water It's hopefully Do any of the other planets in our solar system Have water? Negative Zero of them I feel like Mars No, Mars doesn't Everything I like Because for sure Jupiter Like one of them is an ice planet It has to have water on it Where's my fucking phone? But I think that's my point They're too far to have water water Ice is different That's a frozen water But it's still out there So we may be the only life But it's not the only water Sure well How do we know water is important But they found like I think they found like three or four Other planets They believe could sustain life But they're just like way too far On here a couple months ago That was like There's these little dwarf planets That are flying around That they never talk about Like there's one in between Like Saturn and Jupiter That's just everything's too far Well again, yeah Listen We're not on Mars And we don't even think we've gone to the moon Or we could be on Mars He thinks we've been to the moon Many a time He also said that you think that There is something working Where they have a thing That's going to jump and fly on And connect to a comet And get down of that way And it's crazy that we haven't done that yet And all this time Also got into some really interesting Simulation talk That a simulation that can't make A simulation can't be a simulation But what if the simulation like turned on When TV went to color?
What do you mean? It's not going to happen before that? It's going to happen before that? Well, it you sort of wrangle When it could have been It has to be around nuclear time Oppenheimer Whatever Or that fact that we realize you can Create all the energy you need From splitting an atom Is that the secret of the universe?
And we've sort of in a way got away Because of greed, corporate gas, whatever So Earth is the only planet Known to have large amounts Of liquid water on its surface However, however, other planets and moons Have water in different forms Such as ice or vapor Or potentially liquid water Beneath their surfaces I was liquid water was my thought And one thing he is sure about Is that we've come out of an ice age But we already are we all certain of that? I know but we look at it as this So at some point the planet is warming up From an ice age And we in our humans think there's Mostly some ideal Goldilocks Temperature for us to live at Well, yeah, but that fluctuates A heck of a lot But if no humans existed in another place It's just animals It's just business as usual Well, no, because there's a certain Temperature that if it gets to no life will live You realize that, right? No, but also like you We didn't make up that Goldilocks zone We weren't flourishing when they were Like woolly mammoths around You know what I mean? He seemed that we found a nice way We could manipulate and rely on The climate for crops Was part of it And just us adding in to say Wow, those guys get too hot We can do something about it Because we think we contribute to it It's just crazy talk Or waste of time Oh, this is just him trying to say That he doesn't believe we can do anything Why do you think hold on?
You don't It's 39 degrees out today Feels like 50 Half of our countries on fire right now The middle of this planet Is harder than the sun The sun is 90 That's hilarious That's the best argument I've ever heard It's supposed to end by everything burning out That's that's He said What do you think Would you rather know how it began? Or how it ends? But you realize that an Ice Age wipes Everything out too, right? Ice Age wipes everything out It doesn't matter how warm the center of the Earth is The fire is in heat the planet No matter which way we go Outside the Goldilocks It's like total destruction of the planet Listen, come on, I'll I'll extend you this olive branch If you every time we every time this summer That we've broken a heat record Because they always are like We broke a heat record for this day This day we broke a heat record for this day If you go and look The previous record They all are in like the 1920s It seems some period of time Oh, which leads me to believe that in the 20s Like for like a couple years there It was very it was substantially warmer You're thinking that every 80 years There's not to be 80 It could be 20, it could be 50 What I'm saying is that like most things It could be 100,000 Sure And if you could tell me that it's 34 degrees today Because we're just that much closer to the sun Yet it keeps its paws off Antarctica I could say Well, every 100 years We're just a fraction closer to the sun And we have this 10 years sort of period Right?
Well, I just find a country that's always cold there It's on the south pole No But the south pole gets the least on, right? I know according to How much less sun than degrees, right? Not thousands of thousands Well, so much less That it's always ice there That's a lot less And we got a lot here I just think the sea levels will be up And Antarctica will be basically god now And how is there ice on the ground All the time there If the center of the earth is However many degrees Well, that is the whole thing Because what's it's not time There's not just ice on the ground It's just too clever thing with them Yeah, because there's a lake in Antarctica There's a lot of stuff going on But two under two kilometers That is nice Yeah Canadian Shield I don't know Now It's like a well manicured planet But it doesn't matter about this planet Because we're on our way out Watching nebulas And galaxies And you know, universe eye I mean it would be cool if you could get like another 100 years To see how it plays out In 100 years You don't want that one A thousand, I think At this point No, a thousand is too much Well, no, a hundred is too A hundred more is too much Is it? Yeah If you're living good quality years The first time you heard- Yes, come on The first time you heard someone say Skivity toilet You were like, I'm too old No, but there's no part of you Now that you have a kid That is like I want out of this place You want as many more years as you can get Yeah, I guess Yeah, I guess Yes, come on Well, say it's- A hundred is crazy But you can go back at a hundred years back It's not that crazy And I would say We believe most of you told We basically know what happened For the last thousand years Up to this point So A hundred years back is 1925 What's that?
There's enough records and documentation That you could deep dive And have an idea of what was going on I guess, yeah I think so And I'd go further 500 years I don't want to live 500 years No fucking away That's too long, but another like hundred Okay, how about another 75 years? From this day From today If I can stay like 42 healthy Why can't you do that? Because you can see Yeah, if we can give another If I can 75 years to people They can surely turn the whole world Back it up with the sun Reflect back and talk What's going on here? How do I look?
That sounds like how They take the picture of Earth from the moon Yes They got to like do it through the mirror Yeah, it's refracted off the sun Two double mirrors I think that's why the Hubble can't take a picture of the Earth Which is the Hubble or James Webb Is there an Earth of the Earth? Also, what kind of civilization creates the world's biggest fucking photo and then or camera And then it doesn't take a selfie Excuse me Yeah, what kind of civilization I can tell you that America Would definitely take the selfie That'd be the first thing we'd take And then he said something about What he said was aliens is an easy way out Which makes a lot of sense Because aliens is God Because this report Right the idea that The public can't handle it Which gave me memories of COVID When Doug Ford was saying I've seen these models If I show you these models, you're freak out So I'm just gonna keep these models We're gonna keep you shut down Memories of COVID The worst flavor of Of Princess Joyce's sauce Yeah The whole program The whole space program Finding is equal to one attack helicopter So how much do we really care about Seeing the stars or whatnot? Yeah, but when they were trying to get to the moon Their budgets were astronomical So they tell you That's what I told you Okay, well that money was going somewhere To fund Operation Blueby Probably fund killing games The population that they did it No, I hope they did And this guy thinks there's Was it in this Was it in this episode when Joe was talking about them detonating the nukes in space And just happened to blow up a UFO Yeah, well, that's a cool idea But no, that it wasn't just this time Like I always talked about Operation Whatever it was, Starfish Prime Which is that You know, they shot a nuke into space To see what would happen But they shot like So many nukes into space So many And yet there's that one place Where John Wayne got radiation sickness Yeah, his whole movie That money was the mongol And Genghis Khan And Joe's point I will agree that There is probably a connection to people's hope And desires connected to seeing a starry sky at night And we're just robbed of that And we're looking into our phones No, it's so true Because when you go out and you're able to see the stars It gives you a real perspective on how insignificant you are In the big scheme You can get up some gratitude It's really crazy Even if you went up to my cottage On a clear night It was insane I can't imagine it would be like in the desert Like in the middle of fucking Like in the absolute Like in the Sahara Where there isn't a city within like a hundred- The most famous or as that Hawaiian mountain Observatory Which is actually higher than Everest The Keck Observatory is higher than Everest Half the mountains underwater Okay, that's a trick question From sea level Okay, I got it Well, he's also doing this weird thing Where the earth is oblong And so at the equator, the earth is It's tough to explain It sounds kind of flat to me Oh, what about this? What about this?
Put the brakes on supersonic flight What do you mean? It's too expensive I don't think that's what it is Anyway, that's Sean Ryan, guy had some guy on But why was it? Airports that you can't have planes Boom! It's like a regulation So Wow, I made one that made sense And he made it even super Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Oh, sonic booms banned Cosco boys If you go so fast, you have to go boom Okay, enough Alright, I give this one a two Oh, I give this a four This is this old school The simulation talk, the spacetalk I just didn't care We are the only people in this whole universe If that was a known fact Then I think that could bring people together Do you think that would help or hurt?
Do you think it would help help? Do you think the only thing holding us back Is that we think there's just better people out there In the universe than that But they've got it Not people think that they say Fuck these guys, I want the aliens And the rest don't do that I think the only reason that There's not total chaos on earth Is because we believe that someday We may find some other people out there I think it's guns Either way, would you rate it?
