from Keep Bouncing Forward: Lessons from Sports, Business and Life

Pasha Cook is a native of Houston, Texas. She is a former collegiate and semi pro basketball player.  After receiving a Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Memphis in 2002, she sustained a career ending injury. This struggle quickly propelled Pasha to finding a new strength- she decided to combine her passion as an educator, experience as an entrepreneur, and love for sports to create an organization that will positively impact and encourage individuals world-wide. In 2013, Cook relocated to New York to work as an image consultant for elite athletes which preceded her founding Pasha Cook & Associates which coaches trainees on how to identify and develop their transferable skills, to maximize their potential in creating life-long success on and off the court, and career advisory. Additionally, she facilitates athlete transition workshops, leadership development training, and career development seminars. Pasha educates and consults collegiate and professional athletes on athletic identity, intentional transitioning, and brand awareness. She not only enhances athletes, she partners with non-profit organizations, corporate sports organizations, and collegiate institutions in creating seminars and forums that focus on the challenges presented by race and ethnicity, athletic identity, socio-economic deficiencies, and generational difference. Cook has worked with the WNBA, NCAA, Kips Bay Boy's & Girl's Club, the Women's Prison Association, Dress for Success, and a host of youth programs and schools. She has also been featured on MSNBC and in the Houston Business Journal, Black Enterprise Magazine, and YSF Magazine. Women CEO Project- Houston awarded Pasha Cook & Associates with the 2015 Biggest Transformation Award for its service and growth.  Cook is devoted to Empowering others with her Inspirational message which charges individuals to "Discover Your Inner Champion".  Website: <a href= "http://www.pashacook.com">www.pashacook.com Twitter: @PashaCook Instagram: @PashaCook
