They discuss why traditional First Nations healing and knowledge are a key component to helping people and communities overcome mental health challenges, the impact the pandemic has had on mental health and addiction and what needs to change.Dr. Carol Hopkins is the Executive Director of the Thunderbird Partnership Foundation and a proud member of the Lenape First Nation in south-western Ontario. She has spent more than twenty years working in the field of First Nations addictions and mental health, with a special focus on the use of traditional knowledge and healing. She is a First Nations Representative to the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs.
