The Castlevania and Metroid series have been around for 30 years and inspired numerous games with their platform-exploration style, so those are the games we're listening to this week, along with a couple of series high-points! Topics include learning on the go in games, bait and switches in which John can't actually turn into an animal, whether or not a FPS can be a Metroidvania game even with it's use of locked doors, and of course a really uncomfortable discussion of the Belmont clan's tendency towards stereotypically gay biker attire!
