Episode #36: The Spy Who Dumped Me

from Reel Film Nerds · host Drowning Nerd Productions

Welcome film buffs to another incredible amazing stupendous episode of the Reel Film Nerds Podcast!  I spy with my little eye our latest review, The Spy Who Dumped Me.  A great action filled comedic buddy film!  Matt and Mike were surprised at how much they liked this film.  Mike does it again and throws gasoline on the MoviePass fire really getting Matt going since he had to pay to see this movie. The guys then touch a bit on the recent firing of James Gunn by Disney over really old tweets and they agree that it is a bad move.  Of course this opens the door for Matt to talk about Star Wars specifically can’t Solo: A Star Wars Story and its flop.  They continue off topic for a bit discussing Ron Howard and how many amazing movies he has directed. The Spy Who Dumped Me is a really fun slap sticky comedy that is definitely worth a watch.  Mila Kunis did a fantastic job and Matt would not mind her becoming one of his future ex-wives.  Kate McKinnon rained her acting in a bit and really delivered a superb performance.  Matt gives The Spy Who Dumped Me 3.5 out of 5 Reels.  Mike enjoyed the film even more then Matt if you can believe it!  He rarely best’s Matt’s rating but he did!  He gives it a 4 out of 5 Reels!  This buddy movie was fun and a little raunchy which was fine with us.  Thank you liking, subscribing, rating, reviewing, and telling your friends about our podcast.  What do you think about the guys starting a Patreon or getting some advertising to help support their movie going habits?  Email us and let us know if it is a bad idea or a good one.
